Recently on one of the forums i frequent that is supposed to be dedicated to the adsense program i ran across some domain names that were listed for sale. After pondering for awhile I decided to comment on these from my own experience in the internet world for many years. Now I am not a speculator nor do I proclaim to know all the particulars. But what I do know is google google results and such other things related to google. So my question to you is what future value would you all put in the next generation of communication via the internet. You can also do a google NEWS search on this topic to see what i am talking about. It is projected by the NYSE that the VoIP will exceed 295 billion $$ industry by 2009.

so my question to you all is this what value would you place on URL's that begin with

www.VoIP( ) fill in the blank

I look forward to your professional responses.

If you're talking about www.VOIP.some-popular-extension then I agree that it should have substantial value, with more to come.

But if its in the format www.VOIPsomethingelse.com then except for some (like VOIPforum.com), then generally these would start out as plain reg-fee domains, simply because there are so many suffixes you can tack on to VOIP that are probably still available.

Hi thanks for the response

Ok for example

VoIPdownload.com
VoIpdownloads.com
VoIpmatch.com
VoIPdating.com
VoIPsingles.com
VoIPnetmeeting.com
Voipsexchat.com

These are the domains that I was able to assertain the individual has they may have more but I didnt have that much time. I was of the opinion that these alone would attract a hefty $$$ for future development.

please appraise these

On another forum I seen some domains for sale and they really caught my eye. I voiced my opinion there and then immediately located Namepros.com via google I wanted to come to the Pros for their opinions so now I am here to request your opinions on these domains. Keeping in mind that VoIP is projected to be a 239Billion $ a year business by 2009 the latest news quoting this # can be found via google news search for VoIP.

the domains for appraisal are

VoIPdownload.com
VoIPdownloads.com
VoIPnetmeeting.com my favorite
VoIPdating.com
VoIPsingles.com
VoIPmatch.com
VoIPsexchat.com

Looking forward to relaying your views on the adsense forum where these were originally posted. I have placed a link there to Namepros.com

No I am not the owner of these domains, The first 2 were listed on a forum i frequent related to adsense. The names intrigued me so i began to investigate and I commented there without any knowledge in the domain business. But I did repond with my own opinion about them, upon further review via google i was able to assertain that the individual not only owned those 2 but others as well. It is only my opinion that I have posted at the other forum but what I would like to know is that have I made a fool of myself or was I somewhat on the right track by commenting the following. Below you can see my opinion expressed at the other forum exactly. I will also include the link

Whoever these domains are owned by has just made themselves heaps of $$$$. Voice Over IP is fast becoming the next generation of communication at a low cost. The more people realize VoIP is going to benefit them where it counts most in their wallets. The more popular this will become.

What better domains to have then the Voipdownload.com and downloads.com someone was really thinking when they picked these ones up. We currently use VoIP and have found it difficult to find the proper downloads for software and dll files . I would suggest that you develop these domains into viable websites.

I have noticed the same owner also owns the following I believe in speculation and this person has speculated a gold mine.

www.Voipdating.com
www.Voipsingles.com
www.Voipnetmeeting.com ( my favorite so far)
www.Voipsexchat.com
www.Voipmatch.com

http://www.adsensetalk.com/topic.asp?$sid=&id=33

I just want to ensure I was on the right track as I made these comments before doing any domain name research.

No I am not the owner of these domains ...

[/Merged back in to the related "Domain Discussions" Forum as non-owned domain names (must be owned by the poster to post in the "Appraisals Forum").]
Thanks.

PS. I believe I saw "VOIPaddress.com" listed recently here on the site in the "Domains For Sale" Forum, if you're interested. ;)
PPS. You're provided "link" is unaccessable.
All the best!

VOIP isnt new its been around longer than me believe it or not but companys have after x amount of years realised the commercial advantage of it and now want to cash in on it. the existing tech has been relaunched and is called VOIP just like mobiles/sms messages are now, voip will be in a few years on everyones mind..

VoIPdating.com
VoIPsingles.com
VoIPnetmeeting.com (possible tm issue "netmeeting" ?)
Voipsexchat.com

Will be worth more than you think in the near future...

Be carefull the domains you choose, VOIPdownload/s isnt really worth much as its not related to VOIP.

I dont really see the big bucks in these domains since its just a way of sending the voice packets via the Internet, and is that really important for the end user?

I mean, copperthreadphonexxxxx.com wasnt/isnt all that attractive either :) okay, its a bit different, but you probably see what I'm trying to say.

Good point. Even with many DSL / broadband users, we don't see a rush to visit sites like DSLDating.com and BroadbandSingles.com.
