I recieved $ 650 offer for this name. Would you recommend me to hold on to this or dispose it off. Acronym finder shows many results for this name.

Some may disagree with my approach here, but I tend to value names more on their ability to sell themselves rather than particular potential endusers. I.e. www.diu.com is parked suggesting either little interest on behalf of these parties, or an inflated sense of value by the owner.

I would beg to believe the former rather than the latter. These acronyms, for the most part, don't seem to require mobile sites and it's value to someone other than these companies is far below what you've been offered.

It's a fair tradeoff -- try and get one of those companies to buy it and it may pay low XXXX, yet if none of them are interested, you may have to hold the domain quite a bit longer before someone offers you yet again what you've been offered (assuming dotmobi continues to rise in popularity/value).

At this point I think that is a good offer for your name. .mobi is really just a speculation at this point. If you had DUI .mobi I would kick you for selling it at that price but with those letters at this point in time I think you have a more than fair offer on your hand. If you have a few other nice LLL.mobis and need the money I would take the offer.

I agree -- especially if you're not experienced with seeking out endusers and informing them about your offering -- something which is challenging enough in dotcom, not to mention dotmobi, which they may not even know anything about.

Comparable dotcoms fetch around 6k usd, so you may be right Time will tell, and if the money doesn't matter to you, waiting may be the right decision.

They look similar, but DUI is something everyone in the US is very aware of and DIU doesn't have meaning for 99% of the people in the US.

Driving under the influence means driving an automobile after having consumed alcoholic beverages. It would make a good site to advertise a law firm specializing in such cases for example.

Yes, definitely develop it. It should help get bigger offers, as well as earn you some revenue until you get bigger offers if you put advertisements on it.

Honestly, given the definitions you provided, I don't see developing this name as easy or worth your time. I don't see this as a $650 name at this point and I don't know that your investment in development would increase the price in the next few months above the $650 offer.

Imho, I would take the offer or plan on sitting on the name for a couple years with the hope that .mobi REALLY takes off. Even then, if .mobi gets to be a third of the value of the .com you would only see around a $2,000 offer. So it is up to you. Take good money now, or risk it. How strongly do you belive in .mobi? That is the question you have to ask yourself.
