Found this question coming to me out of curiosity really, how many of you own your own name in some form of domain?

E.g. I own mattjewell.com and mattjewell.info which i plan to use later down the line.

So vote away :D

Matt

I was lucky enough to pickup www.rickymills.com -- it was regged and every now and then I would check to see if it was dropped....one day, it was dropped so I quickly snagged it :D Saved it from a "Coming soon" page :p

Now I'm moving my portfolio and www.rmwebs.net to the new domain :)

None of the options suited me, I got:

firstnamesurname in .co.uk, .com and .net (not as IDNs)
surname in .net, .name and .me.uk
lastname in .me.uk, .eu, .cc, .la, .bz and .to
firstname .com and .net (both IDNs -first name has an accent)

How self-involved am I?

there is one great stuff in uk i like, you can change you "birth name" for round ยฃ50 by deed poll (pay online)

so if you can't find your name .com available you can always adjust this to available .com

lol

or if you are just bored of your name or "cleaning around" or something.., you can change as many times as you like

I own my last name .com, and that's it. I'm not into the name domains too much, personally, but they're cool to have.
