Thought it might be good to see if there's anything that needed to be added to the collection :)

Maybe post the link, and a brief explanation of what it is, and we'll all see if there's anything great out there that we haven't come accross yet :snaphappy:

Overture Search Term Suggestion:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
Check how often a term/terms is being searched for. Not conclusive, but nice to check sing word popularity especially (Cannot distinguish between singular/plural)

Overture View Bids:
http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/
Allows one to see how "expensive" a topic is. Great to see if parking a topic will have a high CPC or not. Also good to see what the demand for a topic might be.

Googspy:
http://www.googspy.com/
Check and see who is advertising for certain topics. Good to see if there are advertisers at all for smaller topics.

Snap Search Tracker:
http://snap.com/stats_keyword.php
Much smaller search engine than google/yahoo/msn, but it definitely has the search tracking that the other guys should.

DogPile Search Spy
http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/searchspy/results.htm?filter=1&qcat=web
Similar to wordtracker's scroll, but still neat to watch realtime what folks are searching for. Could be some inspiration for some new purchases (I left the adult filter on in the link, but there's a button to remove it on site).

Domain Typo Generator
http://www.madcamel.com/typos.html
I'm not too big into typos, but this is the service I use when I do need to check. Reg'd a couple that have had good parking results and no TM concerns, what more could you ask for ;)

Domain Count / Internet Statistics from whois.sc
http://www.whois.sc/internet-statistics/
For the always present "which one is better" talk, this provides yet another nice benchmark to the number of domains registered in the .com, .us, .net, .org, etc namespace.

So just some basic ones to get us started, anyone have any others :-/

Another useful resource:

(Not my site) - Free stock photography, good for when you need a royalty-free image for use on one of your pages. This way one can avoid being a leech ;)

This is the first and only forum I have belonged to that has actually taught me something. It’s a funny thing too because I had never visited this forum before my husband joined Feb 13th but since then I’m the only one who uses it and I think I’m addicted as I leave my browser open with a tab of NamePros most of the day.

So, since I have little to contribute here I will just reiterate your suggestion.

That tool is great.. except for the small fact that it's wrong part of the time.

Among other names, while doing different searches.. it told me that BAAL.com, TEAM.COM, LOOK.com and ITIS.com were available.

I know it makes mistakes but I find that I can usually guess which mistakes it makes.

Just yesterday I found YOVR.COM which I was happy with.

I can relate to that. This is the very first online forum I ever joined, and the
first domain forum among others I've participated since then.

But to add a link or 2 on domain name resources, I'd add the following:

Doug Isenberg's articles on domain name-trademark disputes:

http://gigalaw.com/articles/domainnames.html

The WIPO Overview link

http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/search/overview/index.html

Don't forget the potential legal aspects of domains, peeps. ;)
