Your 2013 New Years Domain Resolution??

Whats your New Years resolution regarding domaining?

Mine is to buy ZERO domains in 2013

The stats say there are approx 250 million domains regged in force in all tlds.

One other fact is in 2012 25 MILLION more domains were regged vs 2011. IMO the domain industry is not as it was only 1 year ago let alone a few months.

I'm done blowing my dough. Too many nickel and dimers offering squat for domains, that is if u do get any offers. End users r being inundated by domainers to buy as well. The combination of quantity and the low demand / domain name = lower and lower buy prices and too few sales for a fringe player domainer.

The odds are just too outrageous now imho. Domain values are dropping and the big boys in play control the market as in any business.

I even resisted the GD $0.99 .com promos lately as well as Im done feeding these companies more cash.
GD offers these cheap promo offers now so they can resell your info on the side at $30 / hit. So they will make millions more off u. Lots more of these to come no doubt while they continue to make easy $ while people get sucked in.

I will probably register a few more domains in 2013. Only ones that make some revenue parked or alright search traffic I will keep.

Curtail new regs. For a new venture, I have decided to use an existing domain in my portfolio.
