Ok, this is the thing, I read some articles about the importance of having your whois public when are you going to sell your domains, some of the reasons are, the main reason is many people do not know about the existence of domain markets,

The question is : You domain landing page is not the same, even better than public whois information for buyers?

Just chiming in to echo this. I've heard of people here needing to use designated email accounts because the whois records are targets for spammers. I suppose spammers could reach me just the same by following the links on my site, but that aside, I prefer to make the message explicit to visitors that the domain is for sale. I do so with a very well-designed and professional (I wish! it's rather amateur but it gets the job done) landing page for each domain. I think it conveys a welcoming and willingness to engage with the visitor.

It really depends, some people will say they get very few offers from their whois email, so they would rather have privacy and make sure their landing pages are clear on how to contact them. It really is a personal decision and depends how much you care about your info being out there.

I would definitely create a simple, but good looking landing page with contact info and get privacy protection. you will receive mainly spam from the guys who found you on who.is

I don't buy names just because someone has a lander. I buy them after I verify they own it. If my client has any knowledge they will do same.
