What do you think this could be worth to a mechanic in York?

.co.uk would make more sense to a local mechanic shop
edit : both are available YorkMechanic.co.uk and YorkMechanic.uk each for 0.99$ at godaddy

Thanks for the feedback. I just preferred .COM I think it rolls of the tongue better and sounds more professional. Probably worth buying the .co.uk for anyone interested but not for me.

'i' what you prefer is irrelevant you are in this business to make money the market demand is more important than what you prefer the domain has no value it probably could be liquidated for a few bucks here on np i suggest you move on and try to avoid geo domains unless they are super good and you got them for cheap

they prefer there own country code extension than .com for the most part
also when it comes down to local service providers in there local areas owning the .com wouldn't do them that much good so you might struggle

if geo domains are your thing stick to american ones .com has replaced .us in the states

I did my research on other trades in York. The market demand suggests .com is the most successful when dealing with tradesmen/women here in the UK. I appreciate your advice on other countries however the UK does not prefer .co.uk especially considering anti uk sentiment in Scotland, Wales and large parts of England, particularly the north.

Yorkshire people would actually prefer a .yorkshire extension if one existed.

I acquired the name cheaply and believe I will sell it at a profit.

A slight improvement would be "NY Engineer" ...very slight. Hope you sell "york mechanic" to someone in York (in England, specifically) ...tough man
