Yet another end user question

I'm getting ready to send out some emails in a couple of days to pitch one of my domains. I've located many web business that could be potential buyers, but when it comes to picking WHO to send the email to I'm having trouble making a decision.

Most of the sites have contact emails like [email protected] on their contact us page, but I'm not sure that I want my pitch to end up in the help desk guy's inbox. So what do you people think? Is it better to send a pitch to the email on the contact us page or the email in the whois page - or both?

i'd go with the whois page first, and using the contact us page if you don't get any replies within a week.

Remember to send out each email separately, othertherwise it is considered spam.

I have completed many end user sales and can tell you that the most effective email to use is one on the Contact form.

Just to play it safe though I will CC the email to the whois email also.

Send the emails out one at a time. Also send them out early in the week (Monday - Wednesday) during business hours. I found that 9AM - 11AM and 1PM - 3PM are the most effective times.

I know that much, but what about CCing the [email protected] with the whois contact email? Or is it better to send these separately as well?

I think that might be ok. But I'm no expert.

Just sent about 35 emails to about 20 companies, lets see how it goes. I'll keep you guys updated on any progress.

i use the email in the domain whois, or the contact form found on the site so as to give impression that you have really dropped by their site, and you have take the time to open up the current site they have.

Well about one hour after sending the emails I got 1 "not interested" response and that's about it. I think I'm going to spend some time today searching for additional leads to email tomorrow.

How long is it before you guys usually see some responses?

The best way to reach them is over phone. I've tried this, it works.
