Yahoo vs Google.. which do you prefer and why?

yahoo is most popular and my default search engine.

For random "not so popular" searches, Google all the way (Much better at finding the small niche sites)
For searching for Quality, Content sites, I use Yahoo. Because folks don't work as much to optimize their yahoo results, so I get a lot less purely portal sites (Not in the mood to support every web-person in the world ).

Yahoo! indexes sites very quickly and gets alot more pages than google does and the search results reflect that. Google is headed downhill, and honestly is more of a brand than it is a quality search engine. As far as the search engine i use... I have found Twingine.com very useful since it displays Yahoo and Google results side by side.

This is very true about Yahoo.

I have also noticed MSN is a hell of alot more effective at indexing php pages than Google, I have a few sites without mod rewrite that are fully indexed by MSN, but google doesnt seem to have scratched the surface.

Though I admit this could be down to Sandbox Theory or the fact that MSN is simply slurping up anything and everything it finds at the moment in order to compete with the established Google

I almost only use Google but my sites ranks much better in the other engines.
I use MSN only to check link popularity and don't like it otherwise. BUT it is fast.

I consider Google is giving the best relevant results by far.
