Yahoo paid positioning

I got the number 1 spot on Yahoo for a keyword that I was aiming for. And while I'm happy about it, I'm not that excited because it looks like I'm number 5 due to the paid listings. I think that they should go back to the ways that they were before, when the featured listings were separated and looked different.

The way that it looks now, you can't tell that they're paid. And I know that its for a reason. But if we're heading to the point where you basically buy your ranking, then really, are they still search engines, or just paid directories.

Really, I truly believe that the number 1 spot is just as good now as anything on the first page. Soon enough the first page will be all paid, and then what.

It is a BS game. They tell you can't sell links and spots and this and that. But they can do whatever they want. So in real I have only one thing to say and that is do whatever you can but get the best rankings. [Not telling Black hat] But there are whitehat ways that one can't imagine and which could be used.

To be honest I never use Yahoo and is it true that they have all first page paid listing? I think that this can scare people which are search for something away IMO

its not all paid on the first page, but I rank #1 and am the 5th one down. I was exaggerating as to what seems to be the trend. Clearly in their case, you can't tell which is paid or organic the way the page is set up.
