Yahoo moving towards Google rankings?

This is only for 2 different domains but I find it interesting that both have the exact same search engine result in both Google and Yahoo for 2 entirely different fields.

One is #7 on both.
The other is #27 on both.

It's really odd that these would be the exact same in both search engines.

Has this happened with anybody else?

They are 2 different SE. And they have different algorithms. I think that it is coincidence IMO

I would most likely suspect this to be a weird coincidence.

However, I wish Yahoo would go back to using Google results like it used to all those years ago.

Both engines have different algo for classifying the sites. So this will happen for sure. It might be just a matter of co-incidence

Yahoo may be using the google results as a quality check or feedback. But yahoo is based on the inkomi search engine which is a completely different algorithm.

I think you guys are right. Obviously, 95%+ of the sites don't matchup. This was a knee jerk post on my part, but I wanted to see if anybody else had noticed similar.

I agree it is only coincidence for these SE's uses different algo.
