Yahoo in pi**ing me off

So my domain shows as "This IP is banned " again in yahoo search results. It showed up like this about two months ago . I set up a blog site and it took about three weeks for it to go away. Then about a week after that it shows up again as "This IP is banned " . Then about two weeks after that is goes away. Then i check it today and there it is again as "This IP is banned " .

I have been working very hard on the site and submiting links in other blogs with relevent comments and content.

What is the deal with this?/?

The IP would belong to your web host. I guess you would have to contact Yahoo and find out why it's banned. Then go to your web host. If that fails, I guess you would have to get a new web host.

just search that ip in google /yahoo may be you will find some stories if that ip is used in spam scam etc:D

I guess you need to contact your web host first. If the problem still persists then change your web host. This may be sort out your problem

Yyou can also ask your web host to move your site to a different node/ip. that will solve the issue as well. Your email might be blocked as well so get on it.

Assuming you are on virtual hosting, one of your IP neighbors must have been doing something REALLY bad for an SE to block the IP and thus everyone on the box.

Another option not mentioned already is to get your own IP address.

Sounds like your hosting entity is on dynamic IP...and, whenever it uses a certain range of IP addresses, those addresses fall into a range that some bag guy has/is using, and your site gets banned - then, when it moves to another IP range, all is okay.......Hence the 'in/out' scenario.

Check with your host...talk IP....get them to move you onto a server guaranteed to be away from the 'bad IP' range.

You can change your host: or you can ask your host to move your site(s) to another server. Best thing will be to get a hosting at good companies like Hostgator.

Looks like you have been working really hard for your website and you are getting banned from yahoo because of your ip. You should move to a new host or something and acquire a different ip address and probably contact yahoo and tell them about how it's not your mistake and how you did the changes.

Maybe you're exagerate with posts in blogs / forums. Or it's possible to share your IP with a spammer neighborhood. If this site makes aggresive spam your site can be affected. Use this tool to see which are your neighborhoods and verify if they are affected. Reverse IP analysis: Domains from IP adress
