Yahoo domains feedback - Urgent please !!

Hey-
Quickly.

how is yahoos 2.99 domain deal. Are they easy to manage, forward, and sell and transfer...?? Is it just temporary

I've been a godaddy sucker for 4 years. Should I start regging 2.99 names with Yahoo instead?

Is that the price for .com as well and without being tied up tp some hosting plan..?

Do not reg at Yahoo. It is nearly impossible to transfer your domain elsewhere. The only time I would reg at yahoo is if you want to hold onto the domain for at least 2 years and you have no intention of selling it.

I think you can only Reg 1 name at the price also ??

The problem is that:
When the time you decided to transfer away or NOT to renew the domain,
they still charge you...

I took your advice - I stayed away this morning regging 6-7 domains.

but later in the day I regged one typo one just to test. I fgured 2.99 what the heck. Now I saw the thing about the renewal procedure. Shoot. an I even let them store the credit info. Maybe I need to back and chnage that setting.

This is a typo for a large site so I should de well but thats what I thought with my few other typos..

Yes, do NOT register domains with yahoo, however if you want to use yahoo hosting you can register a name elsewhere and point the name servers to the yahoo service.
