Yahoo and Telemundo to merge Hispanic sites: report

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Internet media leader Yahoo Inc. (NasdaqNM:YHOO - News) and broadcaster Telemundo are expected to announce a deal to merge their Spanish language U.S. Web sites to court one of the fastest-growing media audiences, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
Financial terms of the deal were not furnished.
Telemundo.com, owned by General Electric's (NYSE:GE - News) NBC Universal division, and Yahoo will combine their staff and share advertising revenue, the report said.
Company executives of both said it was a "test bed" for future deals involving the two companies, according to the report.
