What do you think will be the future fate of .XYZ?
I picked these two a month or two ago

Hempwood.XyZ,
Startour.XyZ

Butthinks that the extension may not last too long. s kindly share your views on these XYZ. THANKS!

Few years ago when registration .xyz price was 0.01 $ with my boyfriend register 2-3 hundreds of adult'n'porn niches domains in xyz and we sold more than 20 percents of domains and highest price for is around low xxxx ... it was 2016-2017-2018

But are you still selling these now that .XYZ trends?

I never said the xyz is so amazing and innovative those are your words not mines. IMO, sellers lets their domains go for cheaper price points base on many different reasons. (Main reason need for liquidity just imo).

Lets be serious for a second about this if the domain is purchased for $1 and it sells for $xx -$xxx,xxx this is great. Really what is the fuss all about. @alcy

There is nothing wrong with getting consistent low to mind sales still passive income..

those domains were taken away from us, which only included sanctions for residents of certain areas of the Donetsk region. we have a war in Ukraine, sanctions for Russians, but they hit us. due to registration in documents, the namecheap took the domains

If your xyz sells congratulations every sellers can not sell the names for the same price.

Great domains drive a price but great sellers command a standard price point.

are u blind? I said one million times its 1person monopoly so people stop dreaming about such xyz sales..my point was never that it's bad to sell 1usd xyz for 4 or 5fig

What we should really be concerned about imo is why does the seller auctions go low but expiring auction sells so high?

yes but...all the good xyz sales come from 1 seller... I'm not counting some blue moon lotto winner exceptions.. well good question.. well parkio and sav etc all get way more exposure than auctioning our shite names. hence the bigger prices..either way paying 700 for winningxyz and other such things is for dreamers and wasted money. that's why I mention in posts xYz is already monopolized by one seller so people stop dreams and waste money. u need bare min 100s very good 1word only xYz names to make bigger sales... and 1000s If they are avg 1words.. unfortunately someone already had that idea. hence monopoly. monopoly is not bad thing but it's bad for all to not see it so they stop dreaming about big xyz sales

1. short name ( below 8-9 letter)
2. one word
3. the xyz domains that pass radio test
4. 1-3 letter name

the only rule to sell xyz names regularly for more than xx... is to have 1000s of 1word. there are no other rules. the rest of xyz crap.. the unsellable one u can buy in np auctions bargains for 1buck

It’s all love but you have to stop the cap . You can sell domains xxx and up without owning 1000s xyz. IMO the time will slow down.
I agree owning thousands of the xyz or any extension puts you way ahead of this domaining rat race.
A constant $xx for something I paid $x for with a standard renewal, is definitely free money imo.

I own a few (100 or so) XYZ names of really mixed quality. I have made a great ROI on buying them for 1$-10$ over the past half year. Do I believe XYZ will succeed in the long run, maybe (would be due to the adoption within the crypto community then) or maybe not (I do not see a broader appeal for the extension outside Crypto and general brand protection for big brands). That said, I will continue to buy and sell XYZ names as long as I continue to see nice demand in the wholesale market as well as retail market for it and as someone else wrote earlier in this thread, I am happy to make 10-100$ a name from time to time on 1-10$ invested and if none of the XYZ names I own today will sell from now on and I drop them I have still made a profit on the extension as such.

Just wanted to jump in on the monopoly discussion which I see from time to time here regarding @DNGear also.

Monopoly is per definition"The exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service."

@DNGear is not having a monopoly to begin with. She holds 22,000 names (a lot of them of the higher caliber quality, yes) but there are roughly 5 million XYZ names registered (correct me if I read the stats here wrong: https://ntldstats.com/tld). Even if she held 4,999,999 XYZ names she would still only control the pricing and sales of those not the one name she does not own (names are unique and prices of one XYZ does not equal the other - it is not a commodity like oil).

@DNGear does not (from what I know control the outlets selling XYZ names ). If you do not control distribution, nor own even a fraction of all available names and sell at a price higher than everyone else does one cannot argue there is a monopoly situation.

However, one is always in the right to question how she makes the sales and why no one else is succeeding in the same way - better names is one reason, better sales tactics maybe another, better connections in the community of buyers - I do not know why but she is not selling more than then rest of us due to a monopoly exploit situation. We all (most of us) have XYZ names on the same marketplaces as her with the same potential visibility so she does something better than us outside of those marketplaces in selling, picking names or both.

She's very active on Twitter posting (almost daily) news on various businesses using the extension - something many domainers would turn their noses up on as they're all about passive income and waiting for the right buyer to come along.

She also has some strong two word names like Artificialintelligence.xyz
