Usually 3-char .net domains are sold between $15 to $25. These two would fit into that category.

I do not think that WZ0 or WZ4 .net are worth that low.

Comparable sales.. LLN.net

hq2.net
$100 2007-07-06

TN4.net
$160 2007-07-26

Two recent sales. I will stick to highXX, Low XXX.

These are probably purchased by end users. Believe me, 3-C .net do not usually sell for that much. I have been following 3-C.net transactions for a whle and I know. I got some LNL.net from TDNAM for $13 ($5 + $8 renewal). Of course, LLN and NLL worth more then LNL, but should not differ significantly.

My latest purchase was 7CX.net - catchy name huh? I got from NP auction several weeks ago for mid $x. I know I got it for a bargain, but again, the far price should be form $15 to $25 as i started. It would be good if I can get $100 to $160 for my 3-C .net domains - because I have 20 of them. :)

That particular one is - underrated.

But all the others are not. I got them from various places. All of the domains below were sold under $20. I got them this year.

5GX.net
H7K.net
K2P.net
NQ1.net
OQ1.net
Q2J.net
QF1.net
QO1.net
QP1.net
RQ1.net
UJ1.net
VY1.net
YQ1.net
7CX.net

May be there are something special about TN4 and HQ2 that I am not aware of. :)

You research! If you find something special, let me know. :D Also, why would end-user pay only 100 for that domain.. perhaps the seller was so easy to give it out without negotiation?

I was just applying comparable sales theme. And if those guys were able to find an end-user, so this guy probably will.

I guess, anthony sale range will be the expected outcome LOL. I used past sales data, but people in this forum particulary bid lower than usual. :)

I think you're both right since your appraisal is based on an end user and anthony's appraisal is for an end user.

I'm cleaning up my portfolio and i just want to sell it quick.

You do not know if the historic prices sold were from auction or an offer - or from reseller or end users. Usually, if a domain is parked with an make offer page, due to the longer exposure, chances to get a higher offer is greater. In an auction, the exposure duration is short and the sold price will usually be less.

This type of domains have a standard price range because the letter combinations are fixed - unlike many other types of domains like CoolGuyFromNewYork.com or ComeVisitMeHoney.com are open-ended ( meaning there can be infinite of possibilities) and it is hard to determinie the standard price for them. Even if you are an end user who wants such domains, they will not offer very high price for them and would not let you know that they are end users (if they are smart).

Also because most of such domains do not have relative high values, expiration date becomes a big factor in deterimining their values. Assume an average price of a "full-year-life" domain is $20, And assume that the renewal fee is $8. So the domain name itself without the "life" is $12. And each month of the remaining life toward expiration you can add $0.67 ($8/12) to the value. If the domain such as this have 3 more months toward expiration, the value will be $12 + (3 x 0.67) = $15. This is just my analysis and should not be treated as a fix rule.
