If they are good keywords and you develop an 'ok' site, it will get traffic with a lil bit of seo work.

I'm interested in regging 2 or 3 .ws however, I see a lot of distrust for .ws in France because there seems to be a pyramidal sales-like business on them. So didn't reg them so far.

Anyway, mwzd, where comes your traffic from ? Is it 30 .ws that have traffic, or some .ws you have that get around 30 visitors a day ? I assume they are developped websites, or were, and not type-ins right ?

i have no idea where my traffic comes from, but with the cpc i'd say US/EU mostly.

I only buy very high value generic keywords for $xx... so am good for now. Though I have bought 2 around $200. (prices & photographer)

I don't even care if they were developed or not earlier... just what I want to do with them... didn't buy them for parking thats for sure.

Thanks ! Can you give an example of a non-developped .ws domain you own that gets traffic ? Just curious to see if it's because of old backlinks, if some browsers add .ws or if there are some people really typin-in them ! Should be #1 option I think ! Or domainers checking what this guy does on his .ws domain ? I do it sometimes.

http://psychic-readings.ws/ Gets about 15 a day

werewolf.ws gets about 3 a day (need to dev)

nymph.ws gets zilch.

If you do reg some .WS domains pick your Registrar carefully.

.WS domains cannot be transferred away to another Registrar.

Also check the renewal fee.

The MLM opportunity is a separate issue from just registering .WS domains.

The MLM opp charges $10 a month for the .WS domain which is absurd :imho: but that's where the $ come for the "income opportunity".

You can just reg your domain at a regular Registrar.

Also don't order your domain from the .WS website
(Website.ws).

This is the US marketing arm for the .WS extension.

You'll pay more and they have onerous terms :imho:

How are you optimizing your .ws sites?

I have bought .ws domain names because they are good names that are taken in the .com arena. How do you optimize these sites for more traffic? I have them parked at Parked.com for now. I want to develop a couple of them for personal use.

Btw, stupid me, I bought one of the names at the website.ws site because that is one that I looked for in .com for a long time and it is in the arena of business that I am trying to develop, real estate investing, is the that said you could not transfer to another company correct? That later on when I want to renew the name I cannot transfer to GoDaddy for example?
