I edited the title, but it didnt update (i made a mistake with saying dont understand xhtml strict) By i ment to say people dont use the correct doc types :P

Even microsoft has errors in their html!
Microsoft: (only there home page is valid! :P)
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/default.mspx

Yahoo!:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

MSN:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Google:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Namepros:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Hmmm *thinks of more* Ill post back with more! (Only popular sites of course ;))

More:

Neopets:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Powerpets:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Sedo:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Alexa:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Basicly my point in showing this is. People use doc type, and dont use it correctly... its a shame cause some browsers wont even load pages like that... And the ones that do use the doc type, they use the wrong ones O.o

The validator site validates the "recommended" standards and practices. Sometimes you have to ignore the standards in order to achieve the desired outcome. You know, RULES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN :D

I agree, we need more software like Internet explorer, standard compliant browsers are too common these days.

Anyway... I don't think it matters too much if a page isn't 100% valid, how many of those sites actually have detrimental flaws as a result of the invalid code?

You can have valid code, but if the site looks bad in a browsers it's better to write the code for the browsers, even if it's not correct!

FireFox is one browser that fully supports CSS2 syntax and already has support for CSS3 which isn't a standard YET. A big THANK YOU to guys at mozilla from me :)

Please, stop making FF fanboys look like morons! NO browser completely supports CSS2.1, including FF.

And I haven't seen any CSS3 components either. Edit: ok, now I have...

No matter what layout I make, my template is never valid. I don't ever bother to correct that because it makes no difference to me and the visitors, because none of your visitors care whether your website is valid or not. :p
