The only way to end this Pandemic is if the majority of the people around the World get vaccinated.

It's amazing that several vaccines have already been developed in record time and thus far they all show very good results as far as creating some level of immunity against Covid19 without causing any major side effects and supposedly even if those who have been vaccinated come down with the disease it won't be at the more severe levels that require hospitalization.

There are many companies that are working on the vaccine although the top contenders currently are Moderna, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...d-vaccine-heres-what-we-know-them/6308571002/

I personally would be first in line to get the vaccine as I am in the older category with some history of heart problems and although I believe that everyone should be free to make their own choices, but this will only be effective in stopping the Pandemic if the majority of the people (like over 80% or so) get vaccinated.

Please do your own research about the vaccines and indicate your choice in the poll (visible to all) and post any justification for your decision as to whether you are going to get the vaccine or not below.

Your COVID vaccine booster might be a patch or a pill. Or it might come with your flu shot.

"They may be combined with the seasonal flu vaccine, or could come in the form of pills or patches instead of shots. Scientists also envision vaccines that might shield against viruses beyond SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) that could avert future pandemics."

Why go trial and error method with drugs when you can use tried and true practices to treat illness?

That raises two questions:

1- Do all these people who unfortunately are dying in India have Covid

2- Why is it that the methods that you are suggesting are not being used to save them

One Of The World's Poorest Countries Has One Of The World's Lowest COVID Death Rates

"The pandemic may have had less of an impact in Haiti, she says, because it's a young country. The average age is 23. COVID-19 infections tend to be less severe in younger people. It's also possible, she says, that a significant number of people were infected by the virus last summer, showed no symptoms and built up immunity. Also houses tend to be open with plenty of ventilation – air flow can knock the pathogen out of the picture."

As US nears vaccine tipping point, dramatic decrease in COVID-19 cases could come without herd immunity, some experts say

"SAN FRANCISCO – It may not take true "herd immunity" to see a dramatic drop in COVID-19 cases. Some researchers say another 30 million to 40 million first shots could be enough for the United States to reach a vaccine tipping point and containment of the disease caused by the coronavirus."

Biden Backs Waiving International Patent Protections For COVID-19 Vaccines

"President Biden threw his support behind a World Trade Organization proposal on Wednesday to waive intellectual property protections for COVID-19 vaccines, clearing a hurdle for other vaccine-strapped countries to manufacture their own vaccines even though the patents are privately held."

HOW DO YOU KNOW THE COVID VACCINE WORKS?

Currently there is still no data on the effectiveness of the vaccines on a long term basis as we might have to wait 10 or more years to accumulate that data,

But on the short term basis there have been a substantial decrease in the number of hospitalizations and fatalities amongst the elderly and many nursing homes are beginning to get back to normal (or close to it) after everyone got vaccinated.

So 10 years for data creates clarity...

.....But a warp speed rushed out vax in less than a year requires no data for clarity? :xf.confused:

Logical - right?

You are mixing up the data,

The short term data accumulated through the trials showed that the new Covid Vaccines were safe enough (within an acceptable degree) for mass production and use and showed some promising results within a small group.

But the data for effectiveness of the vaccines on a Large Scale is now beginning to trickle in and so far it shows that those who are vaccinated (especially the elderly) are less likely to come up with a serious case of Covid even if they caught the virus.

This sounds like a flimsy defense when the Nuremberg 2.0 trials begin IMHO
(But it does sound like somethiing a lawyer would say)

What is flimsy here is your lack of Compassion for the Elderly.

You want to deprive them of the only thing that can save them (getting vaccinated that is)

This is very short-sighted and I feel you are way too smart to really believe this.

I've worked with many elderly people in my practice ;)

What is shortsighted is the fact that you choose to be a healer when it comes to dealing with the younger (perhaps richer) people, but that you don't care what happens to the older people who if not vaccinated will most likely end up in the hospital or even worse become another casualty of the pandemic that you don't believe in.

This statement makes no sense. :xf.confused:
:xf.eek:

I don't discriminate the age of people I work with - many are much older than I am. :xf.smile:(y)

For them being a little older than you might not necessarily mean that they are elderly.

The fact remains that although you might be providing a valuable service to some people (those who pay you $300 an hour as you had mentioned before) but you have thrown all the elderly under the bus by depriving them of the only thing that can save their lives (getting vaccinated that is).

I give away my services for free or very little at times...

$300 is more what I make when I teach small groups.

or when I can multi table and have super full days this coming year I could do that much and more. I'm sure you'll all miss me when I'm doing that :)

It is possible for me to treat a few people at a time for a lot less than $300 out of their pockets and make that much in an hour.

Can you post a picture of you visiting a nursing home and teaching the elderly that they are better off not getting vaccinated and are not going to catch Covid if they just use some natural remedies.

I honestly don't believe that you have ever walked inside a nursing home to check and see how those people were doing.

There is nothing wrong to make money off of your rich clientele after all that's what capitalism is all about, but at least be honest about it.

That is very antagonistic.

I know people in nursing homes are being neglected because of this scamdemic
AND unable to freely interact with friends and family...

Terrible.

Did you see this?
https://denver.cbslocal.com/2020/10/09/nursing-home-residents-greeley-protest-covid-19-restrictions/

.......20 residents gathered outside Fairacres Manor, many in wheelchairs, holding signs that read “Rather die from COVID than loneliness,” and “Prisoners in our own home,” and “Give us freedom.”

The scamdemic fallout kills people (not covid)

Warning: The situation in India is going to present a clear danger to the rest of the world.

We must help keep India from plunging further into this catastrophic situation that currently is unfolding in front of our eyes.

Not only that India can drag the rest of the World down economically and make us lose all the successes that we have gained in containing the virus, but the bigger danger is that if a hostile political environment developes in India that puts different factions at each others throats then that can put the World at greater risk of getting into more turmoil and disarray.

And to think that all this is because of a virus,

We need to wake up and see what it is that we are dealing with here before it's too late.
