domain Would the domain diabeties.net have any value?

So this is my first post and I recently acquired the domain diabeties.net (common incorrect spelling). Any idea of the value or if I can generate money from advertisements? I don't know if I can trust the estibot appraisal.

Yes, it has value. The typo is common. Valuewise, I think $4,500 is a stretch for a .net with a typo, but if it gets natural traffic then it is worth something based on that factor alone. Host it or park it and find out.

Thanks for the reply. I literally just started looking into domain investing/flipping a few days ago and this I managed to snag this one for $69. If I can make $100 I'd be happy

Hi Billy. This is my opinion alone. You could make a few cents by parking it. I would be really surprised if anyone would be willing to buy this from you for anything more than $10 to be honest. I have also tried the "misspelling" route and found that it is not worth it. I ended up selling mine for $7 each. Let me know how this goes.

Yeah, i would have to agree with @Pierre Barnard on the valuation.

If this was a .com then it would have some value. People are very unlikely to do a type-in, misspell and then goto the .net. They will go to the .com

Thanks for the input guys I really appreciate it. The same guy owns the diabeties.com and diabeties.org domains so maybe this would be valuable to him to complete his set.

I suppose I can also attempt to contact the owner of diabetes.net and see if he'd be willing to purchase and use the site to redirect traffic

The dot net of a name is a great idea for protecting the dot com. Someone does good enough seo and a lil advertising they can even outrank a lazy dot com owner with the dot net. Especially if he is parking it. But then again him ranking the dot net would also possibly increase the dot coms exposure to the common internet user.
