Hey guys,
I've been wondering for quite a while now if domains are worth more if the other major extensions are not available. This is probably because I have a lot of domains myself that have all other extensions taken.
For example:
If I were to buy a .net domain, for which the .com, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .ca, and maybe the .de and .be were taken; would it have any added value to it since it's not available in other major forms?
Some people I've talked to say yes, that when the other major extensions are taken - it makes your name have added value.
Other people say no, it doesn't matter at all. A domain is a domain, and even if the other major extensions are all taken, it doesn't matter. The value of the domain is in the domain itself, despite if other extensions are available or not.
What are your thoughts on this?
I am very curious - please post!
Andy
