I am not sure whether I'd agree that the hackability of a TLD indicates its quality. Jamaica's cant really be used for hacks either and certainly also dozen of others.

Technically, .aero and .coop are gTLDs, but I certainly understand where you're coming from. Did you take a look at the links that I posted. Very few sites in comparison to many of the top gTLDs.

Actually, I do own Airplane.aero.

I have Airplanes.aero and Plane(s).aero too.

You do have to be in the industry or a licensed pilot to register a .aero. Since you can't sell them, you must also develop to have value.

Good luck registering one. They've been name nazis about registration, requiring an Asian address for verification.

Because they all speak different languages. Using the local ccTLD helps sort by content you can read. I'm guessing .asia will be largely English, which a lot do speak as a second language.

IMO no ccTLD is bad. Even if the country is sparsely populated, the ccTLD will still have a use. The only ccTLDs that are pointless IMO are those of unpopulated territories (.tf, .bv, ...). But other ccTLDs can never be bad IMO, even if they have a small target audience.

And to answer a question earlier in this topic: pope.va cannot be registered as .va domains cannot be registered by any other party than the Vatican government and Holy See. Your only option is to become Pope yourself and claim the domain

how much are you willing to pay for a ccTLDs? I do not look at ccTLDs that cost more than USD50. How much harder to recoup back the investment. Did I miss anything?
