Just an observation but since .co is now sold and designated use is for companies& business its must be designated as another type of TLD rather than a cctld ?

If so what category would it fall under? Gtld?

:xf.grin:

No matter who owns the extension, it's still the "official" extension assigned to Columbia Therefor, I would say it still fits under the ccTLD category.

No matter how anyone wants to position themselves they cannot change their extension to a gtld from a cctld. Google treats some cctlds as gtlds but that is their call for their search results. .CO is a cctld.
