.mobi World's best Spanish .mobi portfolio - Need Advice

I have been getting lot of interest from buyers but I am looking to keep/develop our mobi domains. I would appreciate your advice/comments regarding If:

1. We should sell individual domains or entire portfolio?
2. Just keep and develop later?
3. Look for development partners?

Set up some directories/search engines first. These types of .mobi sites are going to grow early on as other people need places to list their sites. DIR.mobi is kicking butt right now.

After that I'm not sure where to start, too many good choices!

it's very personal depending on your situation...without knowing any other info...one way to go would be to rank your names by number, from your best to your weakest... iyho...and sell the bottom 10 % every 6 months or until you get the core portfolio that you want to keep...imho

Thanks Scandiman: Thats exactly the reason I acquired these domains to use them more like search engine type of portals. I am seriously considering this suggestion.

This is where members of the forum need to step up and offer assistance in language issues and developing.

Time to trade services and barter for tasks to get sites up. I think if we help each other and cross promote we'll all go along for the ride. I do not see much out there with greater capability to pull this off than this group on this very forum.

Regarding Reece's comment that Spanish domains are less valuable than English ones:

I respectfully disagree with that even though over 90% of our other dot-com names are English ones.

For the record, Chris Chena of Paraguay has the crown of selling the most expensive domain ever and it is a SPANISH DOMAIN meaning "games"...I think it is called juogos in Spanish but I am not sure. I think he sold for more than $10 million dollars. There are countless other Spanish names sold for big bucks. Plus Spanish .mobi names are a great bet given the fact mobile devices are more affordable in many Spanish speaking countries than expensive laptops/PCs etc. Hopefully it will open up your closed loop mind about other languages and help you get some beauties in other languages

Are you selling these, looking for suggestions? I agree that it is presumptuous to make a broad statement that spanish domains are less value than english.

It all boils done on content, usability, and searchability. Give me a good muy.mobi any day or que, qui...all the more reason to debunk those that say q,x,u,y, z are worthless. Tell that to the billions of chinese who have countless cities and surnames beginning in these letters.

Don't lose sight of the fact that there are nearly 4 times more cellular phones than there are PC's in the world today. That equates to a whole lot of non-english speakers speaking and searching the web on a cell phone. I think we are going to see the .mobi extension break all the rules and write some of its own regarding mobi and how it is used and perceived on a global scale. And if, just if, .mobi goes IDN...look out. You've seen nothing yet. They'll be more gem IDN in every language out there and a great possibility that this would overshadow english words...Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, German.

One thing I have been saying all along is to quit thinking in terms of english and english only. Mobi is a global enterprise and product.

Kumar, you have some spanish gems and some spanish merde. I have some english gems and I have some english crap. We all do.
