I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

Via Yahoo : US warns Putin of Catastrophic consequences if Nuclear weapons are used on Ukraine.

Ok , I am not sure people construe the end result if Putin uses nuclear weapons, because that could easily bring a nuclear reaction from another country, then another country , then another country , and so on.

So the if ANY country launches a nuke , the possibility of a complete world catastrophe is very good.

Possible peace talks is much better alternative as opposed to out right threats at this point IMO

The Russian Hitler thinks he can invade and declare the invaded terrirories as Russia like Hitler did some time ago. The same day that the russian terrorist has bombed a civilian convoy and killed more than 20 people.

"The United States, Ukraine and others have condemned this as an illegal land-grab, promising to retaliate with sanctions while Kyiv has vowed to keep fighting to retake its occupied land. The annexation was also overshadowed by a deadly attack on a civilian convoy in the country's south."

It is escalating to the top now , while I can admire countries somewhat blowing off Putin nuclear release threat , I am very cautious of it as well , Russia has the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world , at least so we are told any way , I think all the chips come to middle of the table possibly in days , possibly a few weeks max IMO , it may just come down to “Show me your cards” , if so, it will be like no other time in history , it will be a matter of how bad , not just bad .

I still feel a China intervention is coming , China still supports Russia , so

I think China does not want to show their conventional capabilities as they don’t want to let the US and some other countries see what they have in the bag , and China would far more rather use these capabilities in a conflict with Taiwan.

We will see very soon how the Russia - Ukraine conflict ends IMO

I feel the next few weeks will be decisive. China abstained from the UN resolution condemning Russia's annexation yesterday. I think they (and India) are beginning to realize that this just cannot go on. The whole world economy - and possibly the world itself - is at risk.

If Ukraine conquers Lyman today, what will Putin do? And will the Russian public be aware of the loss?

According to media reports , Ukraine has now taken Lyman , this may be end for Putin , Putin has nothing conventional left for this conflict to bring on Ukraine , Ukraine has fought it all already , Lyman may be very well be the decisive point of defeat for Putin . Putins military sat idle decades aside from some small spats. Putin needs to man up and now and admit that any further war with Ukraine at this point will only further deplete any defensive posture that Russia may need to take place on behalf of Russia to defend itself.

At this point right now . With the quick decisive taking of Lyman by Ukraine , Putin will either withdraw or he will launch nukes IMO , I don’t see anyway Putin can even drag the conflict out any longer .

The only thing I can see for Russia in a conventional means of defeating Ukraine is if China enters the conflict with Russia to end the conflict , Xi Jinping may be able to completely avoid entering the conflict on behalf of Russia if he talks to Putin assuring Putin that China will support Russia on a defensive posture should Russia ever get attacked , I do not think China wants any part of entering the conflict on an offensive. China wants Taiwan, not an offensive in Ukraine IMO

Via Yahoo :

A Russian nuclear submarine is missing , carrying a so called Doomsday nuclear missile . The Russia - Ukraine conflict appears it will be over very soon now , rather Putin calls a launch is now the question.

Putin has little to lose at this point by launching , this is what I was afraid would happen , Putin is pinned against a wall.

I think Putin is getting ever more unhinged and psychologically unstable

Those who propose Ukraine to give up on its people and land — presumably not to hurt Putin’s bruised ego or to save Ukraine from suffering — must stop using word “peace” as an euphemism to “let Russians murder and rape thousands more innocent Ukrainians, and grab more land”.

I don’t think to many expect Ukraine to give up or just turn it all over , I think it is the grave possibility of nukes being launched , that would be a total loss of the country Ukraine and it’s people , but things have escalated to the great possibility of Nukes being launched now, at this point my thought is for Ukraine to continue what it’s doing , Putin “Should” give warning if he is going to launch , that is no sign he will though , and if the warning is given but yet the Ukraine citizens don’t have enough time or simply can’t leave the region , that would be horrid .

Similar to the results of the US dropping on Hiroshima - Nagasaki , they gave plenty of warning time before they dropped , many refused to leave , they died. basically melted where they stood or where sitting . I think that is far more the concern by people as opposed to Ukraine just giving it all up.

Nuking Ukraine (with "tactical" nukes) wouldn't change a bit the course of the war. Ukraine won't stop fighting the russian tyrant. On the contrary, that would accelerate his defeat. NATO would supply "the top notch" in weaponry to Ukraine in that case. Putin has already lost this war and will continue losing russian invaded territories in Ukraine, whatever he does.

And he won't dare to nuke Ukraine with a true "Nuke" because if that nuke affects any of Ukraine's NATO's neighbours, that would be taken like an "attack" to a NATO country, and you know what will follow to that attack.

Petraeus: US would destroy Russia’s troops if Putin uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/oct/02/us-russia-putin-ukraine-war-david-petraeus

"The US and its allies would destroy Russia’s troops and equipment in Ukraine – as well as sink its Black Sea fleet – if the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, uses nuclear weapons in the country, former CIA director and retired four-star army general David Petraeus warned on Sunday.

He told ABC News: “Just to give you a hypothetical, we would respond by leading a Nato – a collective – effort that would take out every Russian conventional force that we can see and identify on the battlefield in Ukraine and also in Crimea and every ship in the Black Sea."

Any speculation on China , N Korea, Iran . , and so on , Russias Allies response should something of the kind happen ???

Keeping in mind , Russias allies have not entered the conflict or given Russia weaponry.

Petraeus doesn’t sound like he is including all the elements that would take place in such an event . Of course the US , UK and NATO could stop the conflict right in its tracks, but that is not a likely scenario IMO , Russias Allies would join in the conflict if that were to happen.

This conflict isn’t going to be easy tame IMO , there is more Nuclear aspect to it every day now. That is what needs to cool off , either way the conflict goes , it has to be ending very soon , Putin is extinguished as far as conventional conflict goes , he has nothing left to bring on Ukraine conventional. So I figure what all is going to place , is going to happen very soon now.

What does Putin have in the way of Atomic , or does he ?? The USSR copied a lot of US weaponry during Stalin , even during the Gorbachev era .. supersonic with ???

I read Ukraine is fighting to take back the 4 states that Putin Annexed the other day , it said, illegally annexed , I don’t know laws on annexing , but I do know once a town , city , state, country has been annexed , the rules change from an offensive posture , to a defensive posture by the capturer , so Putin is thinking he is going defensive in those states to retain them , I guess.

10 torture sites in 1 town: Russia sowed pain, fear in Izium

https://apnews.com/article/russia-u...and-politics-aec9afe8d6631795ae9f9478a4ede4cc

"The AP spoke to 15 survivors of Russian torture in the Kharkiv region, as well as two families whose loved ones disappeared into Russian hands. Two of the men were taken repeatedly and abused. One battered, unconscious Ukrainian soldier was displayed to his wife to force her to provide information she simply didn’t have.

At a mass grave site created by the Russians and discovered in the woods of Izium, at least 30 of the 447 bodies recently excavated bore visible marks of torture — bound hands, close gunshot wounds, knife wounds and broken limbs, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office. Those injuries corresponded to the descriptions of the pain inflicted upon the survivors.

Matilda Bogner, the head of the U.N. human rights mission in Ukraine, told the AP they had documented “widespread practices of torture or ill-treatment of civilian detainees” by Russian forces and affiliates. Torture of soldiers was also systemic, she said."
