I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

A Foreign Fighter on What It Was Like on Ukraine's Front Line

Before I left Lithuania, I had said that if a rocket was wasted on me instead of children, I would take that deal. Well, it wasn’t one or two rockets. Hundreds were wasted on me in those 9 days. And I lived, so it turned out to be a good deal.

The Ukrainians have so much spirit. Just looking at them gives you strength. They are not afraid, they share everything, they joke around, but also they are very sharp and willing to fight anywhere anytime. It’s impossible to win against a country like that.

When I think about the Ukrainian volunteers who joined the fight after the invasion started, the two words that come to mind are “stupid brave.” Ukrainians are stupid brave. Give them a gun and they will go fight. That can be good and bad, but it’s better to be motivated to fight without skill, than to have skill and be afraid to fight.

As for me, I wasn’t afraid. I didn’t feel anything while I was there. I didn’t let myself be guided by emotions. At one point we went to Bucha as protection for some journalists who were following Ukrainian soldiers as they collected the bodies. Literally everything that hadn’t been nailed down was stolen—they stole the ATMs, and cash registers from supermarkets. There was shattered glass everywhere, shrapnel from the artillery, animals shot. We went into a kindergarten complex that the Russians had used as a command post, and we went into the basement where they shot and executed people. The walls were red with blood. My boots stuck to the floor because the blood hadn’t dried yet ...

I want to help save lives, I hope that that's the same with you.
I want to help save lives, that's why I am rooting everyday here to Arm Ukraine now, as that's the only way to stop Evil, to stop Putler.

You, instead, don't stop talking about "Logic and Compassion" when talking about Putler, after seeing all the atrocities that monster has done and is already doing in Ukraine.

I've know for many years how resilient the Ukrainian people are...they deserve their own lands and the right to determine their own course. The video below, I'm sure, is indicative of all those serving to repel the demon horde.

This video was filmed inside https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2S1_Gvozdika

Today have seen her interview on TV...
Her name is Тетяна Чубар (Tetiana Chubar) from Konotop, in the Army since 18 (2017)...
Mother of two.

We will win!
Slava Ukraini!

(Below is a G Translation of https://nos.nl/nieuwsuur/artikel/24...e-hebben-het-westen-gewaarschuwd-over-rusland - Published April 23, 2022)

Former Estonian president: 'We warned the West about Russia'

Toomas Hendrik Ilves guided Estonia to EU membership as Minister of Foreign Affairs and then was President of that country from 2006 to 2016. During that time, his message about Russia to the West was consistent: he warned that Putin's ambitions extended far beyond Russia's borders.

But those words fell on deaf ears, Ilves says. "Countries like Germany and the Netherlands said: 'Come on guys, that used to be, that's over now'. And we said: 'We are more nervous than you, but okay.'"

"And now this is happening," he says, referring to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. "And that's why you see all over Eastern Europe that countries are like, 'Are you finally starting to listen to us?'"

The attitude of Germany at the time and present in particular hit him the wrong way. The German Foreign Minister assured her fellow ministers from the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) last Wednesday: "We hear you, we see you and Germany is on your side".

But Ilves doubts the sincerity of those intentions. Germany is reluctant to impose sanctions on Russia and supply heavy weapons to Ukraine. According to Berlin, there is too little equipment available and NATO must first give permission for the delivery.

"For other countries it is no problem to send weapons," says Ilves. "And I don't think that NATO should give the green light at all."

As far as he is concerned, it seems as if Germany wants to eat from both sides. "So that after the war they can say to Russia: we were not like the other countries, we can still have good relations with Russia. How else could you explain the ongoing dawdling in this matter?"

Russian gas

Another thorny issue is Germany's dependence on Russia for energy. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 55 percent of the gas used in Germany came from Russia.

This week, Germany said it wanted to get rid of Russian gas. "We have made mistakes in the past in this area," Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said. "We can't reverse that now. But we must end Russian energy imports now."

But an acknowledgment for the years of warm ties with Germany is not enough for Ilves. Germany will have to bear the consequences for its own actions, as it expects from other countries, he believes.

"During the financial crisis, Germany said to Greece: you have chosen to borrow a lot of money and that now turns out to have been bad policy. These are the costs. But just as many people have said to Germany before: stop that energy dependency This is a clear 'see you soon' moment for Germany: you lecture others, but put your hand in your own bosom."

That's what's doing Putler and his troops of terrorists. Daily shelling civilian apartments and people, constantly, every day. Deliberately targetting innocent civilians, women, elderly.
That's a massacre, a deliberate genocide. And that's what happens when a inhumane mass murderer takes the power during 22 years of dictatorship.
Sure, but did you watch the video? Whilst the video shows the evil what’s happening in Ukraine, actually this video is more about ‘kindness’ and ‘community’ (even though Russians have destroyed that physically), one of the most moving things I’ve seen.

Finland says NATO membership would ramp up security in Baltic Sea region

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/finland-says-nato-membership-ramp-072144657.html

BRUSSELS, May 12 (Reuters) - Finland's accession to NATO would strengthen security in the Baltic Sea region, Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto told EU lawmakers on Thursday, referring to a region seen as NATO's weakest flank.

"Should Finland decide to apply, the accession of Finland would strengthen the security and stability of the Baltic Sea region and northern Europe," Haavisto said, addressing EU lawmakers via videolink.

"We are convinced that Finland would bring added value to NATO. Our war time strength of the defence forces is 280,000 troops, and the trained reserve is 900,000 men and women," he added.

All un-natural death makes me sad. Intentional killing of another human, not in the realm of self defense, is unconscionable. What happens in this video is awful leaves me with no words to describe my emotions.

1. we believe Nato eastward expansion is the key reason for this war...actually Nato decommit what they promised, they contine move forward from west to east..push Putin in the corner...if u have any knowledge of Geopolitics u wlll understand why Russia feel this is Critical problem....
NATO is the excuse of the russian dictator to invade Ukraine. What he really hates is having a free country like Ukraine having free elections, wanting to embrace other free countries like the EU and not wanting to be ruled by any dictator anymore.
By the way, are you aware that you are living under a dictatorship? Because that's what is Russia right now. No free elections, the dictator managing all media, closing every tv or media that even says one word against him, jailing people just for talking against him, for protesting against war. Not to mention what he does to the people who dares and try to offer a political alternative to Russia.

3. we feel bad if the war continue esclate, but we don't belive west should send more soldier/weapon to Ukrian... it just help the escalation.
Sure. What you want is to let the Ukrainians without any self defense, so Putin's army can invade freely Ukraine and kill every ukrainian facing the invasion.
What you want is to let ukrainians totally defenseless so your dictator can invade their country swiftly and easily, but what happens is that ukrainians don't want to be ruled by a dictator anymore. They are fighting for their country and their freedom. And your dictator is invading their country, killing their people and mass bombing and sieging ukrainian big cities. Same as Hitler did. All dictators are the same and do the same things at the end of the day.

I think the Russian military got more civilian resistance than expected , from the start of the conflict to today, the Russian military has adjusted and continues to adjust how much they bring on Ukraine , right now with such a large civilian resistance and civilians entering the war theater , the more likely that what were civilian non military targets , have turned into military targets , the Ukraine civilians have showed they have the will to fight the Russian military , i expect many many places through out Ukraine that were not marked military targets , have now become military targets due to the civilians joining into the conflict ..

I am pretty sure Russia expected to just march in and not be taking the major losses they are now.

It is not really even clear what Russia is fighting for.

The Ukrainian citizens will never accept an illegitimate government, neither will the rest of the world.

Even if Russia eventually takes over Ukraine, they will never actually win anything.

They should have learned their lesson in Afghanistan in the 1980s.

The Russian economy and currency are destroyed. They are toxic to the vast majority of the rest of the world. Companies want nothing to do with them. I hope it was worth it.

If you think you can't find thousands of instances of civilian infrastructure bombed during those wars that can be described as 'targeting civilians' if you're motivated to do so, you're wrong to put it mildly.
One thing is to attack a civilian infrastructure by mistake. Another very different is what's currently doing Putin, that is targeting on purpose civilian buildings and residential zones, and killing on purpose innocent people, women and children, every day, non stop.
That's the difference between what the military does (war) and what Putin troops are doing in Ukraine (terrorism).
Your leader is a mass murderer that wants to kill the maximum number of innocent civilians by airstrikes and mass bombings.
The only cases you will find of this kind of terrorism in recent years have been done by the same terrorist, Putin, in Syria and Chechnya.
you're excusing evil.
Actually you are the one who is excusing evil. You are excusing the massacre and genocide of innocent people your current leader is causing right now in Ukraine saying that other countries did it also (and that's false).

Russia is fighting against Nazis, not being like Nazis. Everything is obvious. People in Ukraine fighting against Russia are Nazis, they admit it and are proud of it. How can you compare number 1 enemy of Nazism to Nazis.

This is like talking about dry water, or hot ice.
WTF are you talking about? What do you watch BS Russian propaganda all day.

You have a brain for a reason. Use it.

Yes, the Nazi state of Ukraine is lead by a highly popular Jewish hero of a leader...makes a lot of fucking sense.

Putin is the fascist here. The comparison to Nazis is quite an easy one to make.

there is a high probability that all this Bucha's massacre was staged by unqualified UKR spec. forces.

In fact, the majority of these bodies were killed by UKR artillery trying to shoot RUS army. UKRs are killing own population accusing it for assistance to RUS. Miserable measures.

Do you know that UKR army using own civilians as a shied while attacking RUS army?

The poster of this video. Olga, is from Ukraine and now living in Denmark. Before the war, one of the things she did for a living was help those speaking only English make plans for visiting Ukraine. I have friends that have visited Ukraine over the last few years and she was instrumental in helping them have an enjoyable time (lodging, activities, restaurants, etc.)
