World Series pool

world series pool

ok i thought it would be fun to do a world series pool. it will be 50 np's to get in. we will randomly draw a team for each person and whoever has the winning team wins the pool which will be 400 np's. this will be limited to the first eight people to reply that they want in. just send me the np's marked world series. actually next seven people because i want a team. the following teams are in the playoffs:

american league:
1.new york yankees-billybob tied eliminated
2.boston red sox-smh7233 eliminated
3.minnesota twins-webmasterinfo eliminated
4.oakland athletics-coastalguy eliminated

national league:
5.atlanta braves-dr.pepper eliminated
6.san francisco giants-sohil eliminated
7.florida marlins-sharpy WINNER
8.chicago cubs-rj eliminated

Dang! Sox bats always die in the post season, especially on the road ... been there, done that many a year. Makes me mad. :o
They'll light it up at Fenway, though ... just hope it's not too much to overcome (having to go back to Oakland for Game #5, pitching already stretched thin, and a bruised psyche).
It'll be fun to watch on Saturday night, that's for sure. :tu:

i heard them say that it would probably be pedro in game 5 because he threw so many pitches he wont be ready for game 4. if thats the case i cant think of another pitcher i would want to pitch game 5.

Right! IF we make it that far ... obviously I was hoping for a "split" in the first two games out there in Oakland. I'm still optimistic, but we are breed out here differently, when it comes to the Red Sox. We are hopeful, yet fatalistic ... Buckner notwithstanding. :o

Love the Sox, but...

A's pitchers are looking strong. Game 5 seems like a dream.

Where are the bats? Need run support for that Sox staff. Not looking good.

i think the bats will be alive at fenway. i see it going to game 5. and then a no hitter by pedro to win it.:o

PS. You could very well see Pedro TONIGHT (in relief), depending on the circumstances. Also, it rained all day today in New England.
