Hey guys and gals

I've just started using wordpress to develop out some of my sites. I'm having an issue with home page pagination.

I tried to implement it so I could have page numbers at the bottom of the home page instead of the older posts/previous posts link at the bottom of the page.

So far I've tried the WP-PageNavi plug-in and tried playing with some code. So far everything I have tried hasn't stuck.

Any advice of help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to do. An example website would help.

If you can't get this to work like you want, is there an acceptable alternate solution? The thing about website building is you can take as much or as little amount of time as you want on any part of the process.

Don't get caught up losing time to a problem for which there is an acceptable alternative. Change course, tweak the design, move on.

Wordpress is great. When you become more familiar with the options, you will begin to see more solutions to your ideas.

Do you have a link to your current project?

Good luck!

If you've tried plugins bear in mind some only work with certain themes, and that plugins can interact with each other causing problems.

If you linked us we could offer some suggestions :)

I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure and I'm still not sure if it is the issue here either...lol.

This would be and example of what I want to replace the older posts link at the bottom of the page with: Adding Nice Wordpress Pagination

And yes...I have five sites up and running and would like to implement this on all of them....but like I said; nothing seems to stick. :)

One of those is this one FictionNovels.net It is a multiple page site already and would really like to have pagination active on it instead of the older posts link at the bottom.

BTW...thanks for replying. :)

If you can't read code then try this fix. Drop a page in an editor with a split code and real time view and see if you can highlite an area or two to towards the beginning of the page to see if you have some spacing that's off.
