SALE COMPLETED

Pinot Gris is the top selling white wine in the U.S. after Chardonnay. I have decided to put my website www.pinotgris.net up for sale. It comes loaded with great ORIGINAL content, and also comes up #3 on a google search for Pinot Gris (out of over 2 million sites).

I don't have a lot of traffic figures for this site because I just moved to a new host, but the site has received 166 hits in the last 7 days according to adsense.
I have also recently submitted this site to a number of PR5+ directories. Current PR for www.pinotgris.net is 3, although that could change considerably with the next Pagerank toolbar update.

The domain is probably worth mid-xxx on its own, not to mention the google ranking and traffic.

Asking price $500 $450 (this will be the only price decrease)

PM if interested.

Thanks,
Scott

This website is still up for sale.

Not only does it have the #3 slot on google for Pinot Gris, but also #3 on yahoo, and #1 and #2 on splatsearch.com, and #1 on jayde.com

It would be a great way to get into the wine niche - great keywords.

Pm me if interested :)

I'm putting this site back up for sale!

Here are some updated figures:

Page Rank: 4 (previously PR3)

Alexa Rank for pinotgris.net: 1,423,257

LinkPop:
www.pinotgris.net
Total 3,654
Google 15
MSN 1,729
Yahoo 1,910

Search Engine Placement:
Site to verify: www.pinotgris.net
Keyword/Phrase: pinot gris

AOL Page 1
Google/Hotbot Page 1 (#2 overall on Google, previously #3)
MSN Page 3
Netscape Page 1
Yahoo!/ FAST/ AltaVista Page 1

No traffic numbers available at the moment, but I can get these tonight if you're interested. Linkshare (an affiliate program) reports 200-300 visits/monthly for this site, although total hits are probably much higher.

The domain is registered until Sept. '07; was originally registered by myself in Sept. '04

Price is $450.00 USD

Any questions --- pm me :)

As per request, I'll try to provide traffic stats for this site by this evening.

Why not just post your adsense stats? I'd probably bid then.

I would love to see the adsense stats too please. . . .thanks.

Hi,

Do you have the earnings numbers?

Here are traffic & revenue numbers:
Month Uniques Visits Hits
July 06 475 618 9404
Aug 06 363 433 4459
Sept 06 433 513 5343

Adsense stats:
Apr 06 - Jun 06
Visits 1008
Clicks 3
Revenue $1.10

LinkShare Stats:
July 06 โ€“ Oct 06
Impressions: 1028
Clickthroughs: 23
Revenue $0.00

So, revenue is almost non-existent. I have not spent much time trying to monetize the site.

The value of the site lies in the domain name, the search engine rankings, and the original content.

Please pm me if interested.

Thanks,
Scott

What made you remove the Google ads were you blacklisted (no offence, just a standard buyers question :) )?

Nope, I just wanted to try a wine affiliate instead. I don't think Google allows the adsense with the affiliate ads, so I removed the adsense. Someone could always go that route again if they wanted to.

It's an opportunity for someone who can figure out how to monetize the site. Someone could redo the whole site if they wanted to --- the search engine rankings are already there. The domain alone is worth at least low/mid-xxx IMO.

I know that the price is not too high, because a few months ago, I had a buyer who paid me to take the site off the market so they could figure out if they wanted to purchase the site for $500. After about a week of discussions, they decided not to purchase, but it validated my asking price.

Thanks for your insightful opinion, though.

I'm interested, but I think the non-negotiable price of $450 is too high. A site is only worth as much as someone is prepared to spend, and the fact they pulled out at $500 means they realised it was too expensive. If you change your mind and want a quick sale then let me know, but not at $450.
