Windows Live Messenger 8

So I finally got to try out the new MSN Messenger (8.0) but I have to say I'm not pleased with it.

Yeah you need to have been accepted for a testing account first.

yeah i would have expected it to be better, and those buttons are just HUGE it looks ugly, i think im gunna stick with 7.5 unless they make it look a lot better.

I was looking at the buttons again and tried to figure out why they'd make them so big. The best I could come up with was to help the visually impaired lol.

I'm still very disappointed with this version, I hope the next build is better .

I am expecting this version to stay in beta for some time. Remember the MSN/Yahoo Messenger merger... Already the offline messaging feature is implemented in this beta so I expect the final version will be compatible with Yahoo messenger aswell.
Just a matter of time, let's hope for the best :D

It seems there’s some neat new features which they’ve ported over from Yahoo Messenger and ICQ. Offline messaging apparently works but I have yet to test it and it seems to be capable of messaging under “Appear Offline” though that feature remains dormant at this stage.
