Microsoft to invest $1.7 Billion in India. Will this help the value of India domain names? Boy, I hope so.

I dont really see why this news in particular would increase their value. Companies have been investing boatloads of money in India for years.

Bill gates having inversting in india since 2000 ... he does spenda lots of money but it does not seem that it will increase indian domains value. particularly .in domain is much costly and only some brands working in indian markets only go for it general public is still not interseted in .in much they better go for .co.in....it still has long way to go

I certainly don't have the money that Gate's does, but I am willing to invest in India as well. I don't know that anyone should not see why he's going there.

I don't think the values will increase only because of Microsoft's investment. Probable microsoft.in value may increase.

But, in general, .in rates are very high.

I really don't think that Microsoft's investment in India will in anyway increase the value of .in domains, but generally speaking I feel the popularity and the value of .in domains will increase in the coming years.
