I think regional city sites are a coming big thing (Diller says that CitySearch is just getting started, effectively "the best is yet to come").

GemFever is a great candidate for developed, sounds catchy and is relatively short (great combo). I could see it doing well seasonally (i.e. around Valentine's Day, any time there is a glut of birthdays/anniversaries). I don't know WHEN exactly diamonds/jewelry is most popular, but that would be my guess.

Templates domain is great and very competitive, as said above. May want to affiliate with a popular web template provider if you don't have templates of your own. I think a good idea would be to write some webmaster articles to go with it (good way of getting yourself into Google/Yahoo natural SERPs).

AtHouston.com is one for development. Cities are easy to write about and there is a huge amount of public information available about them.

MostlyTemplates.com is nice. If you're developing it, sell web templates on it, these are the competitive product out of the ones you mentioned. Personally I dont believe it holds much more than low $xx for the domain alone, its a bit long and I don't like the term "Mostly".
