Considering it is one of the most desirable LLLL.com's I'm suprised it didn't fetch more.

Any idea who the buyer is?

I'm sure if I had the money, I could sell it on for a further profit.

Is this the first $xx,xxx www sale?

What is the legal and trademark position on the www prefix with a generic one word domain, with or without the none www version being developed?

After the sale of US.cc and USA.cc recently, I'm not suprised to see this one too. That's why I fell off my chair this week when I found Espana.cc available!!!

Do you agree that Espana.cc should bring in some $x,xxx offers too?

Trust me: PrimeRate_dot-com is worth $110K. I was actually putting together a plan to purchase this name, but then it got sold. It's a smart buy, no doubt.

No. Espana.cc seems worthless to me. US.cc and USA.cc are short and good for subdomains... espana is spain right? Sorry but I don't see any value in it.

PrimeRate,com was available and on the afternic showcase domains for literally years.

Seems like the main motivation why buydomain ended up buying it was to prevent the other bidders from getting it once it was "in play" - as happens a lot in auctions - and maybe get a nice markup turning it to the enduser.

I noticed POS,com also was in their catalog and had buydomain's WHOIS details only a few days ago but now has 'Domain Capital', the original buyer..

eu.cc was good but espana.cc i hardly doubt that it will go for that much.

but who knows you never know what an end user will pay.

PhotoBucket.com doesn't seem to be TM in any way, so PhotBucket.com was definitely a good buy, I don't see them having any legal issues to contend with. wwwrealtor.com however, IMO was a waste of 21k, because realtor is TMd and I've heard of other cases where they've gone after domain owners...
