Just browsing through DNJournal sales: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

Came accross this: "At TDNAM, Shojun.net sold for $2,142, XL4U.net nailed $1,455 and Polscicmu.net pulled $1,000."

Found that the .com was available. I Googled "Polscicmu", it has 897 results. Went to Polscicmu.net, it's a parked page.

Can someone here explain to me why would someone pay $1k for Polscicmu.net when the .com is available & it doesn't even seem to be a word! Am I missing something here?

It's a mystery..

Polscicmu.net looks like it was previously a site, perhaps the owner accidently let it drop then was desperate to get it back..?

Any domain that sells HIGH at TDNAM, that looks very odd to us, it's very clear why these sell high. Because TDNAM put's really high Traffic numbers on the domain. Then people bid like Dumb A$$es.

Polscicmu.net does show an alexa rank of 1,405,956 and has about 40 links. Was it worth the price, NO. It shows that people need to verify these traffic numbers.
