It is wonderful to be on Namepros, every single one of you is a star especially Gilsan, Netmeg, drdpresiden & many others - you are all my hero. As my hero I am hoping you can help me here please, I am following in my heroes footsteps and I need help. I am an undergraduate in the world of Domain but I have already acquired 50 good domains (good in my opinion).

I read the thread about Parking V Development and I got from it that the best option is Development. However, you need a lot of time and funds for Development. But if any of you have an automated self development method, please share with me.

If there are none, what will you recommend? To go for Whypark only or traditional parking service? If I go with traditional service, which one will you recommend?

I know I can just leave things with parking services but they are not open about what they are making from your site and I do not like that.
I want them to make money but they should let us know what they are taking - that is another matter. They also have to approve you for some reason which I do not quiet get.

If I go with whypark is there another company like whypark?
I will need to do my own advertising. What steps should I take? Are there programs to automate this for me?

I suppose I am hoping you all with your experience give a guide here as to the best way to go about it. A B C kind of thing of what you will do knowing what you know now? Knowing that I have no technical knowledge.
Thank you all and I am ready to learn and to make you all proud โ€“ I am indeed humble after reading your threads. Merry Christmas everyone.

Alot of people give sedo a hard time on here because of their low pay per click you get when parking your domains there. But i think they are a good quick learning tool for people like you that is new to this. Sedo is free and its fast, and they dont make you go through an aproval process. What you do is put your names up on sedo parking for about a month and get a feel for your traffic. You may have only 1 or 2 names that get traffic, and after a while you may add more names until you get about 10 names with some traffic. Then you can take those 10 names and apply to a better (higher paying, more tools) parking company like Parked.com. The whypark cost 100 bucks! You may want to use that money to aquire more/better names! Whypark is the best value when you have 100 domain names, you dont have that many, and it would be a shame it you reg crappy names just to get to the 100 domain level.

But most of all i think your next step is learning is you have any traffic, and loading em up on sedo is a quick-free way to do that

also remember not to list your names on posts in forums like NP sedo doesnt let you do that and it give you a false sense of your traffic

I saw domainembarking.com service that will give you 8 deep pages for your domain. I haven't blog this yet (http://emil.king.net) but maybe next year, too much information for me to handle. This is similar to whypark service, check it out and share your thought here.

Cheers.

Thanks guys, I really apreciate that. One question: Is there a program or something to help me manage my domain list so I know what is what?

The domainembarking.com looks good and I am tempted to start to start with them but some of their pages are not working somehow. Anyone using domainembarking.com? Please tell me more. Thanks all.

If you choose to park, I'd suggest you go with NameDrive. Get a feel of what Parking is before moving to other companies. Later on, when you have more domains, you could apply with the other parking providers. To learn more about parking, check this room http://www.namepros.com/parking-and-traffic-monetization/

You might want to send in an application to Bodis.com before end of this year because any application this year will get 100% revenue. Application next year will not get 100% revenue. Apply and see if you are lucky. It may take awhile (maybe 1 or 2 months) before you know if your application is approved or rejected.

If you develop your site, and is looking for automated advertising, you can go with Adsense. There are also many other options besides Adsense. Check out the threads in this room http://www.namepros.com/ppc-cpc-cpm-programs/

I've never tried WhyPark before. So no comment about them.

It is not the end of the year yet and Bodis.com already close the application online. They said "We are currently not accepting any new applicants. Please check back soon." I suppose they had too many than they expected to sign up before the end of the year. Anyone from Bodis.com? Give us some answers please?

You can also create your own simple personal parking page and put a small article related to the keywords on it and mix in some adsense. 100% revenue cutting out the parking companies. I am starting to do this now and I'm liking the higher CTR and payout much better.

You can do this with google pages.com free or set up one of those host a hundred domains for $5 somewhere.

I had a "New Years Resolution" to revisit my portfolio and the various parking companies. Believe it or not, there were a number of names that actually do better at Sedo than elsewhere. :$:

I use TrafficZ and love them because they allow you to use a simple automated parking page or do a lot of customization. But you need about 100 domains to open an account with them.

I was at Bodis before the closed all the accounts including mine. I thought they were good for a new service and paying 100% is nice, but then when they dump you it's frustrating and you lose money until you can move your domains to someplace else. They did pay me the last amount of money they owed me, but I would try others first and don't put too many domains there since you may also get dumped later.

WhyPark sounds like it might be good, but it would have to be great before I would pay their fee. I am waiting to hear more about how well their service works before trying them.

I signed up with DomainEmbarking when they first started. They never approved my domain and never responded to my emails, so finally I pulled the domain I had there and gave up. This was almost a year ago. Then about 2 months ago I started hearing that they were talking to people and contacted them. The owner and I exchanged emails and he seemed to really feel bad about how I was treated. He said they found my emails somewhere and they had been missed. Anyway, they got my account set up again and I just added a second domain there. So far, it's not doing much - no money - but I have not had much traffic either. So I added another domain and may add some others that I can't get working at TrafficZ. I say try them, but only with a few domains to start with.

Imonetize is not bad and there is no setup except you can choose keywords. If you want an easy parking service try them.

I would also like to know what percentage of the money I am getting. I think that helps to build trust, since we have to trust that they pay us fairly. But until there are competitors that do this, it's better to just see if you are happy with what you earn an d if not, try another service.

I decided to leave 35 doamins each at 4 o5 parking services now. I do not know if it is smart but I will like to see which one works out better. Anyone use Evolanding? I like the fact that I do not have to do anything and their website looks great. However, I wanted to know about the sharing and the report on my dashboard, that has not being possible. It does not give me confidence I have to say. Anyone????

Some say what the share is and others don't. I would not worry about it since they are a business and have to make a profit. If you find out what the share is you may just be unhappy.

I think it's better to see if you are happy with what you are making, and if not, move to another service. In your case you should get a good idea what is working for you, but I would create a record of some kind and keep track of where your domains are. If you have some that are not making much but are getting traffic, I would move them to another service and see if they improve. Just keep track of where they have been so you can try as many other places as possible. And move them back if one of the first ones was better than the others.

One guy that I respect said you really have to take the time to try domains at different places to find out where they will do the best.

nielsencl, thanks that is exactly what I am doing. It is nice to hear form you about not worrying about the earning sharing - that sounds like a good idea. Ihave to say that it still feels weired that most of the parking companies are not transparent. I suppose one just have to get use to that or no - any ideas anyone?

I had my domains parked at Sedo first but wasn't getting any visits or clicks except the ones which came from robots. Then I moved them to Parked.com and I started getting clicks almost immediately. Plus they have great tech support. I highly recommend Parked.com. Good Luck!
