So up until now all you really know about Omar and Will is that we enjoy investing in domain names and we enjoy making videos.
But now we reveal our story and show you a glimpse of our past. An inside look at our past successes and failures that have led us to invest in domains and creating this blog.
But before I get to all the stuff we did, every story has a beginning and ours was very interesting.
Completely in awe of some amazing motivational speakers that claim to have achieved what we wanted so we were instantly hooked. This was the beginning of our journey as we began to focus on reading and personal development.
To us network marketing is awesome, the concept made sense and it still does.
But..
There is one aspect of it that really turned us off and is the main reason why we dove into other ventures. We explain in detail in the video you can watch below how the concept of building a downline quickly transformed from helping people understand the business and grow to becoming an adult babysitter and having to hold the hand of each new person we signed up in the business.
We knew that this babysitting thing was just not for us since it limited our creativity and it felt our success depended on other people who simply did not work as hard as we did.
So we moved onto the internet and got hooked on becoming website cranking machines once we got our first true taste of success with Google Adsense. We created mini sites put some great articles on them and then did a few backlinks to rank in Google. For about 2 years we were rock starts making great profit and learning a lot.
Until...
We learned the hard way that having your business depended on too many outside factors or in this case companies that have more control than you is not a good business model. Long story short Google decided to banned us from the Adsense program.
We did research right away as to why and simply put if they decided to shut you down they could. No reasons why, no chance to get it back, our whole business gone just like that.
No hard feelings though, it sucked big time but it was a lesson learned.
Every problem has within it a seed of opportunity and in this tough situation the seed was the idea of creating an article writing business and a motivational website, PixPirations.com. (more like a hobby)
The article writing business was profitable but we were not able to scale it so basically the more orders we got the more we had to edit and just took too much time and too much hands on. Our focus was finding something that can eventually be scaled and be semi passive at least.
There were some benefits though.
We were able to develop our writing and editing skills and we developed our customer service skills as well since we gained many clients who continued to order articles from us due to the quality of the articles and our impressive and attentive service.
Now enters domains and the reason we invest in them.
This is probably the only business in which you invest an amount once and you have the opportunity to make 10 to 50 times your money.
Think about that for a second..
That type of profit is just incredible and in our my minds by selling enough domains this can eventually become a very hands off passive type of business. Not to mention that we absolutely love the process.
Why did you guys choose domaining?
