discuss Why most people are in denial for Covid-19?

Surprisingly 90% of people I meet deny that we are in a middle of a pandemic! They either claim that the numbers are exaggerated and fabricated, or that it is not dangerous and just a flu, or that we are being lied to. The odd thing is that these ignorant claims were dominant at the beginning of the virus outbreak, then people became more aware and took it seriously and they were wearing masks and avoid gathering, but after 3 months everything was reveresed: people stopped wearing masks, gatherings returned and the ignorant claims mentioned above came back. Today I asked a supermarket owner why at the beginning of the pandemic you were wearing a mask and now not? He literally said to me "I was not convinced about this pandemic back then and not convinced now"

It seems that people just got bored and tired and just want to close their eyes and pretend that everything is fine to get back to normal life.

I am with reopening everything and going back to normal life, but we should do that responsibly by doing at least the bare minimum to slow down the virus spread. Recent studies showed that wearing a mask is a very effective measure, is that too much to ask? Or is it a torturous thing to do? Just put on a mask for God sake!

Two hairstylists who had coronavirus saw 140 clients. No new infections have been linked to the salon
Both stylists worked at the same Great Clips location in Springfield. The clients and the stylists all wore face coverings, and the salon had set up other measures such as social distancing of chairs

"This is exciting news about the value of masking to prevent Covid-19," said Clay Goddard, the county's director of health.

Now restaurants are full of people with nobody wearing mask even waiters! And boom we are in a second virus outbreak wave already and it is not even autmn yet! All of that because of the number one most irritating thing in life which is "ignorance".

Thanks eh,

Maybe see if your doctor....

doesn't drink diet soda?
doesn't eat GMO food?
doesn't eat fast food?
doesn't use a microwave?

Actually looks healthy?

There is just as much of a variety of doctors as there are domain traders.

They created this virus, and they have a vaccine from the first day they created it. Everything else is just a show :)

Good grief.

What the UK volunteered to destroy its own economy? Funny.

Bill Gates created Windows, he also created anti virus the same day. Why? Because he created viruses for Windows :)

You see Bill Gates was always in virus business :)

For those who still believe that the pandemic is fake.. wake up and read this very sad story:

30-YEAR-OLD DIES AFTER TEXAS 'COVID PARTY,' THOUGHT CORONAVIRUS WAS A HOAX
a 30-year-old man, died after attending a so-called "COVID party" -- a bizarre trend where young people intentionally get together with someone who's infected.

Dr. Jane Appleby, chief medical officer for Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children's Hospital, said the patient thought the coronavirus pandemic was a hoax.

https://abc7ny.com/covid-party-19-death-coronavirus/6312899/

The story was reported by many others:

Texas man, 30, dies after catching coronavirus at a COVID party as nurse reveals he told her he thought the virus was a 'hoax' before he died
While in the hospital, Appleby said that just before he died, he looked at his nurse and said, 'I think I made a mistake, I thought this was a hoax, but it's not.'

Here is another scary story with sad ending:

A 37-year-old Ohio man died from coronavirus after slamming 'hype' over pandemic on Facebook
"Let make this clear. I'm not buying a f---ing mask. I've made it this far by not buying into that damn hype," he posted on April 28.

Throughout June, Rose "checked in" on Facebook at bars and restaurants in Ohio. On July 1, he wrote that he was experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Rose's family told a local outlet he tested positive for COVID-19 that same day and died on July 3.

This thing is very real and deadly, don't be fool and dont risk your life and the lives of others.

Here in the USA when this began, the sheriffs office put out a notice that anyone that was hyping this up was to contact them and report them. The bulletin had a list of about 10 things they swore was not going to happen (including the riots) which of course the whole list came true and has since been removed.

I don't think it's so much about being in denial here as it is that there is a big pedophilia coverup and the news agencies won't report on it. There's even a "flight-log" along with numerous arrests for pedophilia and other criminal sex acts that show this is more than a problem, and sex trafficking is just being ignored and "fact checked" while everyone sees kids going missing. People share into the community groups for help finding someone. Sometimes they run away but sometimes they get abducted too.

In the USA people are tired of others running over others. Everyone here in this area at least seems to have an entitlement complex... they are entitled to their beers after work, or entitled to a hot meal after work, or coming home to a clean house..... And most definitely people feel they are entitled to their own opinions. Forced on others.

In my city there's clear portrayal from business owners to enforce this mask mandate (too late) and yet one of the business owners on the same street as city hall, claims they won't give out the masks the city will offer for free, because she sells them instead.... it's pushed as health and safety... we closed hospitals from families coming to visit their dying loved ones... we closed churches... we kept liquor stores and abortion clinics open in the name of health and safety, and now instead of closing things back down they want to force laws on people, while clearly the business owners here get away with crimes.

To live here, to be a criminal, you just pay fines.... but if you want to be a law abiding citizen, you still pay fines to operate, they just call them taxes and fees. So if the business owners don't care about health and safety but sales instead, to me that's more dangerous than someone without a mask on.

Dine-in eating is open here, ice cream shop is open, everything is open but they think people wearing masks will help break down numbers while the real problem is people are being greedy and trying to make money during a pandemic, but feel they should enforce laws on others to keep them safe, while they could just put a sign on the door.

Anyone who thinks ventilators = good medicine is seriously confused.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but better to nip the cognitive dissonance in the butt now rather than burst your lungs with a ventilator later.

It depends on what ventilator does..pushing air only?. Higher oxygen levels help against viral diseases, cancer etc. I may buy such a device if it works and has no side effects. Such a thing would be great in case of carbonmonoxide poisoning also. I have a simple ozone generator, it takes oxygene from air, and adds it to water, and that ozonated water can be drunk to get more oxygen into body. It is a healthy thing, but you need to avoid inhaling ozone in the air, and .. I suspect, the air neaby needs to be clean, otherwsie how can I know some toxins are not added to the water also. I think most people can be cured from corona and cancer with oxygen,.. but mainstream medicine doesn't use it, or it would be expensive. You can give someone helium gas using a ventilator, and although helium is not toxic, it would kill a person, because air needs to contain 20 percent oxygen... Also removing carbondioxide from lungs quickly would also kill an animal (and people), because it is used in breathing process, as a signaling molecule. So artificial fast breating is unhealthy, you can get oxygen faster, but not be able to use it. So,..a ventilator, whatever it is, needs to be used correctly , I think...

Sure it will. And how is that a problem? Read up on the 'regular' flu shot. The flu mutates every year, the vaccine is redesigned every year.

I think, just like antivirus programs, older versions and new versions of the virus need to be taken into account. It is not like all coronaviruses mutate simultaneously, some may never mutate, or mutate differently than others.

Someone should invent corona-yoghurt, as an alternative to vaccine. Let good bacteria recognize corona first (?, for now just fiction).

I have an alternative (plan) to vaccines, get plasma from recovered people, and then get real corona,.. while that plasma provides temporary protection, let your body build its own antibodies, which would last for several months at least.
