So over the course of the last few days, my lap top's fan has been extremely noisy. I asked a few people what they thought the problem was, and they said it's the heat. I've kept my laptop on a cooling pad, near a fan at all times, and free of any dust. It got really bad.
And then, just a bit ago, my laptop made a ticking noise, almost like someone holding a pencil up to the blades on a fan. I put my head close to my case, and found out that the noise was coming from my hard drive. I didn't think too much about it, and continues on. Mind you, I was only surfing the internet.
My screen flickered once, which it does from time to time, and minutes later, it non stop flickered, before permanent blackness. The ticking grew louder, as did the fan, before complete silence. My laptop was pretty hot at this moment, and it died. Nothing. I couldn't power on, nothing. I waited, and it still won't power on. I had my cousin take it apart, and to my despair, parts of the inside of my laptop looked semi melted. I now need to replace it all together
I got close to 3 years of work out of it, and it was time to update anyways, but now, I have no source of money, nor any money backed up. I am pretty much screwed. I am thinking of buying a netbook, and doing as much as I can on it, and raise money to buy an even better computer. So if you don't see me on here too often any more, this is why. Here is the laptop I am looking at:
