Why is 1 NP$ Only .023 official value ?

I was wondering if there is any significance to the .023 value of 1 NP$ ? Just seams a little odd. I can understand not making 1 NP$ equal to say .25 cents because then it would keep people from being more liberal with them when it comes to thanking others for help, such as domain name suggestions or appraisals. Has this been talked about ?

The value of NP$ isn't decided by anyone. It is considered something like money, the daily dollar changes every day. Same thing with NP$, it's all about Supply and Demand, when more are needed the price goes up like in this case .023. You can sell the NP$ at what ever you would like to.
