I noticed that only a limited number of registrars offer .ly domains, while most popular providers like GoDaddy and Namecheap do not.
Since .ly is widely used for short, brandable links (for example no_url_shorteners), I expected it to be more commonly supported.
Is there a specific reason why many mainstream registrars avoid .ly?
I am particularly interested in whether this is related to registry policies, legal or geopolitical issues, technical limitations, or simply low demand.
