Why does the traffic differ between different parking companies?

I of course can see why revenue differs between parking companies, but why can there be such a huge difference in unique visitors? I moved a few of my domains from SedoPro to Parked to test them there, and while the $/click is frequently better there, the traffic to a few of the domains is significantly lower (at least so far, over a period of a week).

Why would there be a change in traffic? Do the different companies count it differently, or are there ways that some actually bring traffic to the site?

I believe Sedo counts bot traffic.

Hmmm...that would make sense, given some of the patterns I'm seeing.

Can anyone else confirm that or give other possible reasons?

Thanks.

This has to do with how they count traffic. One program might let everyone view and count Raw visits. Another might count unique visitors to the entire program with unique counts reset every 30 days. Then others with count them only after they click a link and hit the 2nd page. Another might filter all out all traffic that is not using an English browser or from certain countries redirecting it to places that are buying that type of traffic. There are as many options to how this can be setup as there are programs. If a program doesn't clearly state this to you you should email them and ask them. If they won't tell you then I wouldn't use them.

Parked does seem to get less traffic, but on some names a much higher click % and higher revenue per click.

We count unique visitors per domain per day. We count visitors not views. Also if you get a 404 we don't count it as a unique unless the visitor actually does something. Spiders/Bots are normally not counted either.

Some parking companies only pay for one click, no matter haw many times a unique visitor clicks.
Company S - 1 visitor, 5 clicks, $0.25 revenue. Stats say 1 visitor, 1 click, $0.25 rev
Company P - 1 visitor, 5 clicks, $1 revenue. Stats say 1 visitor, 5 clicks, $1 revenue

This is why you see some people specifically searching for names parked at Sedo. they know they can purchase it and park it somewhere else and possibly get higher revenue.
