Most domainers either like an extension because they have invested in it or at the worst they are indifferent to it, but what makes some domainers actually hate an extension. Well the truth is that some people consider certain extensions as a threat to their interest or the interest of their masters and they fear the fact that some new extensions might actually become successful. Every time a new extension comes along they see it as their duty to put it down and to say whatever necessary to prevent its success, We have seen this happen over and over in the past, when .US came out these people were ready in rows to inject their poison into any thread that was supportive of it in anyway. Sometimes their efforts are so organized that makes one wonder if they are actually getting paid by some of the big monopolies in the domain industry. Its one thing to analyze the pros and cons of a new extension, but it seems that these people never have anything positive to say and they always make it look like as if they are doing us a favor by making all those negative comments. Its good if they try to educate the new domainers for the sake of helping them not to make costly mistakes, but it’s a different story when they do it to protect their own interest.
