Why cPanel?

I have seen many customers asking for only cPanel, I wonder why they find cPanel better then any other control panels?

What is your opinion on this?

Besides, it comes with Fantastico, a script installer for people who don't know how to set them up.

cPanel does not include Fantastico... although many hosts offer this addon.

Dude, why not cPanel?

Cpanel is the best IMHO, it comes with WHM so you can sell hosting easily.. you can also add game adon scripts so that you can host game servers nice and easily..

cPanell is the best and easy control panel i ever seen and it got way so much features so i think its better then any other control panel but mostly like it H-Spr or DA could beat it one day

I think they all want cPanel because of the preinstalled scripts and because it's the "hype". I don't need anythign but ftp and phpmyadmin access, but still cPanel is kinda cute ..

I have tryed offering hosting without a control panel. I got no sales and a VPS with no use. $57 wasted... It is either cPanel or no custom? Which would you prefer?

I'd recommend DirectAdmin.

cpanel is cool, packed full of features, easy to use, navigate, and superb for advanced n00bs
well... i even managed to teach my french teacher how to use it!!!

We, the customer want cpanel because it is user friendly. We like to login to our cpanel where all the information and links are there. Cpanel is also most widely used and it is like basis to measure the standard of webhosting. If the web-hosting has cpanel then we assume that it is good. Fantastico is also available in cpanel which helps us to install the scripts easily. So we want cpanel.

Yes. Cpanel is used by manny People. Is verry simple to use ,Maby this is the reason.
For me dosn't matter if is or not cPanel .

Ive only ever had cpanel once - I stopped using it because I couldnt be bothered to login every time.
I dont think a control panel is necesary (sp?), FTP and phpMyAdmin is good enough.

i only use a host if it has cpanel becuse it just makes it easer to do everything so you get your website up quicker with out all the messing around

I used Cpanel for over 3 years! I started out using it first so i never wanted to switch! Well about 1 month ago my server has some trouble with cpanel on them and the fast and easy fix was to put DirectAdmin! It way cheaper then Cpanel! I was extremely worried about not using Cpanel or WHM! Once i got everything back up and working with DirectAdmin i now got 2 favorite control panels! I have to say the DirectAdmin is little higher on the list then cpanel as backing up many accounts is so easy and it has every feature i ever had on cpanel! Not one thing i ever ran into that cpanel has and DirectAdmin didn't! The fact on how easy to start a mass backup of every domain and account at once and easy to get them is what makes me love DA! Cpanel i used to have to go form account to account start a full backup then have to sometimes login to there account to just download it! DirectAdmin has some small features here and there that Cpanel don't! I think i going to give Cpanel a break and stick with DirectAdmin now! Also DirectAdmin has Installatron and that is exactly like fantastico! I also recommend using a different skin i have this one skin set and make DirectAdmin have that same look and feel as Cpanel i think that look cpanel has is why people love it! DirectAdmin top theme that i found so far is marina! Make it look very much like cpanel! If anyone know of any free themes for DirectAdmin that makes it more look like cpanel tell me thanks! I love DirectAdmin but i love the look and feel of cpanel i just want to combine them!

I still can't believe i switch if you would have told me int he past that i was going to i would say it was impossible!

Someday i might want to try some other CPs!

I like cPanel/WHM because I have experience with it. I'd most probably think so that other control panels like DirectAdmin etc are just as good. The majority of the newbies will like cPanel because of it's theme, and because so many hosts use cPanel. cPanel is more expensive, and probably has additional features that other control panel's does not have. If there was a choice between DirectAdmin and cPanel, I would choose DirectAdmin for a change, see what it's like. People could live with just FTP & phpMyAdmin, but I guess people who need auto-installers need a control panel .
