discuss Why .com wins over .anything ?

The short and simple answer is : .com = internet , and internet = .com.

The internet was born with the .com and the .com was born with the internet.In other words, the .com is the original source of the internet, and the internet’s master key is the .com .

The .com reflects originality, authenticity and success. Therefore ,companies all over the world always prefer to make .com the main and official crown for their name/brand !

If I understand correctly the only advantage of .com is the psychological effect that people seem to remember it more. When they think of a brand name people tend to automatically imagine the .com ending.
Recently Google started favoring non .com domains more, so we will see what happens in the coming years.

That's exactly it, and while .COM is undeniably the best, it still comes down to the reality of availability and cost/budget. I have seen companies spend a large percentage of their seed money on a killer .COM and then literally not have enough money left for essentials like salaries.

They be like "Oh, the .COM will save us all!!" I be like

Dot com, will be a natural internet connection in pretty much all our lives. A very decent domain is always associated with the top end of a business profile. Nobody goes out to over-capitalise on a decent domain, (as a user/holder) it's there for a life long presence
