Why are these domains valuable?

There is an auction right now at godaddy and I saw these names:


www-tennis.com 3 $307 2D 20H
www-organic.com 8 $301 2D 20H
www-antiaging.com 1 $292 2D 20H
www-californiamortgage.... 3 $255 2D 20H

Can someone tell me why they are selling at such a high price? They all contain a hyphen and www. Does www have value in a domain?

This is historically quite common at Ebay, for instance ... but has the GoDaddy auction system been susceptible to this fraudulence as frequently IYHO's? (I'm unfamiliar with their aftermarket / auction system, and have never utilized any of their services since moving all of my domains out of there approx. one year ago, IMHO).

Yes, anyone can signup and make a bid. I have a number of sold yet unsold names there. Like most things it has it's ups and it's downsides. The upside is greatly overshadowing the downside, for me anyway.

2 of my best converting PPC names are "www" loan typos (wwwloan.com .. not mine.. but mine are similar) I don't understand the whole hyphen thing with those above though. Pretty worthless in my opinion.
