I found this at Sedo sales tips:

-----------
Change the WHOIS information
You can update the "admin" contact information to read: "Owner Name (This name is for sale at Sedo.com)". This setting is adjustable through your registrar.
-----------

Do you do such a change on your domains Whois? Is it worth the trouble?

I think that is more of a sales tactic to get people to contact you through sedo to buy the domain. Otherwise, they would send you an email and sedo would not make any money.

I have often seen whois details that note the domain is for sale and they are NOT accepting offers through sedo.

is it useful to block your whois details?, i think that costs money though

If you are planning on selling your domain do NOT block your whois info.

I would agree. Don't block your whois if you are trying to sell the domain.

Keep in mind that some ccTLD's (EU,BE for example) charge money if you change the name of the registrant/company name.

Thanks for the replies!

Seems like the best choice would be to leave the Whois info unlocked, and add a note like "This domain is for sale".
