Hi All

Got 2 letters in the mail today from "Domain Registry of America".

They got info from "Who-Is" for 2 domain names of mine which are soon to expire.

They are trying to sell domain name renewals/registrations at $25.00 per yr./$40.00 2 yrs.

Should I spam them back?

No, you should report them to the proper authorities, IMHO.
PS. Please tell them to stop spamming and snail mailing me, as well. :D

I haven't received anything from the "Domain Registry of America" but I did receive a phone call from Earthlink yesterday asking me if I wanted a free month of hosting for my newly registered domain name.....

I have recieved SEVERAL offers lately for .ws domains! :(

However, just a few minutes ago I recieved an email to the address I have listed in almost all my whois records offering me 535 MILLION email addresses for only $99... I suppose I will be getting a lot more spam soon. :(

I believe they must have gone thru every whois record because it says the US ones are sorted by zip code. But they're aren't even that many whois records!

I got a call the other day about a domain name I picked up for a client. Verio called me, of all people. I thought they would have a bit more respectful policies. Also the domain was in my name for a matter of hours... they need to check the owners a bit more often as that was almost a month ago.
