My whois information format is as follows:

First Name
Last Name
Company
Street Address
Email Address

How can I use this format instead?

Company
Street Address
Email Address

It's unprofessional for an organization to have a single person's first and last name.

never heard of anyone getting flagged for it assuming your info is correct and reachable...

could do a search for Domain Admin and probably get a few hundred thousand domains registered this way.

know quite a few that go as far to use Business Name, PO Box, Pre-Paid Phone, as long as the information posted gets through and connects with the owner it's legit. Would rather do this than a privacy service as many thousands of domains were stuck with privacy on when RegisterFly went under.

@SpareDomains - Yeah, but ICANN have put procedures in place so that won't happen again.

@mai - Well I can't say whether it's condoned or not by ICANN, but a lot of respectable companies use that method. But as SpareDomains has said, if somebody who want's to get through to you using those details, and can, then it's legitimate.

See if your online account's control panel or similar allows changing the registrant name to an organization.

I just use "Domain" for firstname, and "Administrator" for surname - followed by company name.

I've seen many UDRPs with this whois info, and it was never an issue. I even read a respondent who had false physical address, and the judges simply communicated with the respondent via his valid email address.
