Just curious, if the count of whois queries on you domains is of any value.

When you download list of your domains at GD, there is a column that shows the number of '
WhoisCountsCurrDay'.

Does a more number of counts indicate that the domain is better than other names in your portfolio?

It can for sure. It can mean people are interested in the domain.
It is something I keep an eye on before deciding to drop a domain.

However, if the domain is close to expiration it might get more because it is on expiry lists.

I have also noticed that hand-regd have a very high number on first day and until a few days. So I discount first few days.

Yeah, those WHOIS lookups on new registrations are likely from the spammers; the ones you get the web design, seo, hosting offers from.
