Overall I like the concept of "shock and awe" advertising but I have to say it's a little heavy on the "cheese" as in extra cheesy.

I like namepros so I'll reserve using the term "sell out" although that what this is right??? A complete sell out of the site.

sellout... yeah so what? were all in this business to make money? and arent you on this FREE forum to make money?, to read and learn, sell and buy domains to make money? but you dont like the idea that namepros may want to make money too... and with a HUGE forum like this im surprised they have so little ads...

what many of the whingers /oh my eyes ! /how can I turn this off seem to forget namepros is a site with overheads - ie initial hosting, server cost, development administration, moderation etc etc etc

we all know how popular it is or else we would not be here and this thread would not have reached MEGA status in such a short time .. so I ask you this how many times a day do you log in to check the new posts or hang out in the chat room/ check your PM's ??? well I guess thats more than a couple to say the least. I am not the most active domainer on the planet nowhere even near but that aside even I log in at least 5 times a day to have a look around what happening!

So I say to those that are moaning about oohh its hurting my eyes! how do I switch this off???? this is an "innovative" sponsorship initiative and whatever deal may have been struck for it to appear and however long it may run ....unless you want to open your wallets to a paid subscription model to freely access the content on this site .. SHUT UP or pay up and directly support the site

Yes its advertising but so what ... but its from from someone who knows more about the market that a significant number could only wish to know .. accept it or offer the site your paid monthly subscription..

I am sure this will not be a popular view but its mine all the same
